Maps favoring certain killers
I experience this problem all the time when playing killer. I'll get in a lobby and pick the killer I want to play, only to get screwed over by the map picking rng. For example, I'll choose to play Hillbilly only to get Lery's institute, completely destroying any chance I have at using my power effectively. I know for a fact this affects survivors as well, but not to the same extent as killers. Unlike survivors, killers depend entirely on their ability to use their power effectively. Survivors, on the other hand, can still use their perks, just not as much as they would need to in order to make the perk worth picking in the first place. It's really an issue that affects both parties, but can completely screw the killer if they got unlucky enough.
My point, really, is to see if anyone else (killers or survivors) is having this issue and what could we do to fix it. The best idea I could come up with is the killer being able to pick the map. Now not the exact map, as I feel that could be exploited, but rather a group of maps. For example, if you were playing hillbilly and you were choosing the map, you would want to pick the farm map group. Of course, this is all up to discussion and not anything I'd expect behavior to actually implement anytime soon (seeing as how they are still working on dedicated servers, map balancing, etc.) but I'd love to see the ideas you all could come up with! Ideas on balancing it, how it would function, etc. I'd also be privy to seeing anytime you were screwed over by the map, as I could definitely relate to that!

The way to fix this issue is to learn how to play the maps better and to understand that sometimes it's just not going to go your way.
I almost always use the Trapper and I get screwed over frequently by the maps. I just deal with it, take the loss and hope the entity provides me with a better chance next game.

I mean there's really not too too many maps that totally screw a killer over. There are plenty of god window's but once you know where there are, you can try to avoid chases around those areas.
Lery's is a nice counter to some of the most overpowered and easy killers in the game (nurse, huntress, billy), but is a total cakewalk to the ambush killers. I think it adds nice variety; especially since I mainly use ambush killers.
The only map I think trapper is really weak on is Lery's as well, since he can shut down some of the most BS loops in the game with ease on every other map. Potentially he is weak on the game but only if he doesn't trap the washroom early.

I did mention getting to know the maps better as a way to fix the issue and brought up my getting screwed over by the maps as a way of pointing out that even though I was making that comment that I have a lot yet to learn about how to play my main effectively.
It's not something to complain about like you see a lot of people do.
