Well in the show he has a habit of manipulating people and monitoring what they do out of curiosity.
Something like Myers, but without the stalk maybe?

Hannibal drugs Mason and while under the drug, is completely manipulated by Hannibal suggestions.
Hannibal is also surprisingly good at throwing knives at people.
I dunno just something to consider.
