six...times...in...a...row...
six times games lasted 3 minutes with ruin...
This has gotten out of hand.
Devs...You really know your priorities. makeing chapters every 3 months but takes more than 3 year to fix a goddamn issue that ruins the game.

Not taking the bait

Anyone seen my Hooeey card? I wanted to throw it down on this one, but I can't seem to find it.

imma press X to doubt
23 -
If it was bait, i would try to say "OMG GEN RUSH BAD UH
0 -
Git gud?
15 -
based on your recent posts, i think you need to just turn the game off, step away, and relax for a bit. you've had some rough games, it happens. just step away for a little bit man
16 -
Will not help. that would imply to not play the game until my problem is fixed.
If they did not fix it now, they most likely never will.
Unless everyone leaves and complains and bomb review the game, but that is not realistic.

Ruin doesn't magically prevent survivors from doing gens.
All they have to do is hit skill checks.
In fact, I would even suggest that Ruin actually trains them to hit the great skill checks more consistently.
16 -
Not gonna lie, if the game ended 6 times in a row in 3 minutes, with ruin... you really need to improve your killer game
That's literally all survivors in 1 gen without being interrupted, 1:40
+ let's say 2 together in one gen, +0:44 sec so 2:24
+ 20 sec for gate 2:44.
16 seconds of travel time is ridiculously low.
You need to find survivors faster

Git BetR?

Edit: wasted breath.

Uh.... I don't understand what youre saying. Is ruin bad? Good? You were genrushed with ruin active? I dont understand.
1 -
Ruin isn't bad at all. It trains survivirs to hit skillchecks. And if they dont want to to do to that it trains then to study the map for totem spawns. I mean ruin almost dies instantly anyways so i dont know what youre trying to say.
3 -
All survivors on separate gens, I switch targets, they don't even heal, and I have 2 YEAR EXPERIENCE.
0 -
So you're mad at Survivors doing their objective?
It's called learn map pressure.
3 -
That's my mantra. "Not taking the bait...not taking the bait...not taking the bait"
1 -
Pleeease say you recorded even one of these 3 min games it would be interesting
0 -
This seems more like bait with no evidence to try and sway people into thinking there's actually something wrong with gen speed.
3 -
I don't record every game I have, or bother to check hidden records (and i'm using my laptop on these forums, not my gaming PC)
I am sorry I cannot show evidence, and it is completely understandable to not believe me, but what reason do i have to lie? I'm not on here to get attention or blow things out of proportion for sympathy, i'm saying what happened.

You didn't ask that to me but, yes, I have.
But they lasted more than 3 minutes. And not 6 times in a row.
Would help if you had a recording.
Who were you playing btw? Perks? General strategy? Commited too much to a chase? Too little?
Did you not hook people? Why?

Would you be so kind as to upload one of your typical games?

First of all, I do hook people when I think im ok for a few seconds, and second, I used ruin, corrupt, bbq, and Spirit fury.
0 -
Just spirit fury? Weird but, that's ok.
What do you mean with you hook people if you think you're ok for a few seconds?
0 -
There's always next time, man!
1 -
Spirit Fury was the best I had for 4th slot, and I describe ok for a few seconds as gens regressing and relatively has low progress (and maybe the survivors are injured and need healing) .

Damn can you be my coach or something?

Rip can't go in.

I'm gonna say it like everyone else says it, You didn't apply any pressure if the game lasted 3 mins or they ALL had insta gen toolbox's with Brand new part even then 6x in a row X to doubt

Survivor main here:
The SWF babies here want easy games where they can fix gens and leave and get easy BP. They want gen repair simulator and they want it to be fast, easy, and have very minimal interaction with the killer. The only people that think having only one objective to do is enough is those that are actually bad at the game (the ones that are making fun of you).
I have like 5 - 10 minute games from yellow to red ranks because killers get smoked unless they play the broken nurse. All you need is one good looper and you are good to go. The maps need to be fixed and they should add an another objective for survivors so they can get more points, instead of just the generators. I max objective points super easy by doing like 1.5 gens with prove thyself and another person, and you do a couple of totems, get hit by the killer while they are carrying someone on the hook and you get super easy WGLF stacks. I end the game with 30-40k BP and have instant queues, and I have no idea why people wait for 10 minutes in a killer queue just to be cucked for 5 mins by gen rushers and loopers. Game is in a pretty rough state for killers unless you play nurse.

Ok. What would you do if you considered the situation not ok? Let the person slug? Kick a few pallets/gens and come back? Chase the guy that was around?
Is this sarcasm? Sounds like sarcasm

No legitimately, like you sound like someone that can break down a game and help me figure out how I’m a rank 4 survivor yet a rank 11 killer
0 -
I'm not that great at killer, I find it fun but I can have some awful games against some groups. Yet I don't think i have ever had a game last only 3 minutes, even against teams that all managed to get away.
I'm not disputing your claim but if you genuinely had 6 games in a row last only 3 minutes then it isn't a gen rush issue, it's a map pressure issue. I'm not trollolololing and saying Git Gud because that isn't helpful at all, but you may wish to revisit your tactics. You've said you have done everything you can but honestly, if you were....6 games lasting three minutes wouldn't happen.
I would suggest getting together with friends, or an organised KWF group to try and work different tactics in a slightly less stressful environment. Again, I'm not at all trying to be condescending, I do this to practice killers i haven't quite got a handle on, and to be fair you are at liberty to take the advice with a grain of salt.
However, while gen rushing does indeed exist, there has to be something going wrong on the other end if you have that many games ending that quickly one after another.

Survivor and killer do similar things but have different skillsets. It's normal to have different ranks.
If you wanna record a game and ask for tips, I'm willing to help, but there's probably better people around.
I would suggest watching OhTofu, he does coachings on videos that people send him, it will probably help you more than I could.
This is his latest one.
He also has a full guide on billy that's pretty good if billy is your guy

Have you tried something else to slow down gens besides ruin? I've had plenty of games where survivors find my ruin immediately, but I don't have to run it...
0 -
Nah I prefer big boi Myers
0 -
It may be a bait but who cares about the forums anyway? Not the devs.
Are you happy about the fact that ruin lasted 3 WHOLE MINUTES?
I'd be happy with that tbh. This is a lot of time for a super secret totem to be found.

They're implying that the issue is your attitude and mindset, not the game itself.
0 -
The reason people don't believe you is because math doesn't support your numbers - you're either exaggerating quite a bit or lying.
Killer main here: gen speed is fine, even against SWF, for people actually capable of maintaining some form of pressure.

Instead of saying "git gud", I'll try to be helpful. What killers are you using? Do you have early game tracking like Whispers or Discordance? Your first chase is imperative to a successful game. Killer is all about how quickly you down the first survivor.
1 -
ok it has been over a day and calm down a little bit, it was maybe not 4 minutes, but it was definitely less than 5-6 minutes.
i'm not saying gens need to be extended, but I am saying the game needs the deathgarden treatment.
0 -
3 minutes? yeah okay. Did they break all your totems in that time too?
I'm really trying to imagine situations where this is even possible within the constraints of time and space.

I remember one day I played 27 ( yes, you read that number right TWENTY SEVEN) games where the killer mori'd with ebonys. So, I get how stuff like this can be frustrating. I also know that stuff like this can be possible, even if it isn't likely. Each game went by so fast that I could barely get any points.
I literally for like three days afterwards dc'd everytime I saw a hidden offering because I was so upset.

I honestly don't think that games are as short as people say. Every video I watch online of a DBD game has been around 10 minutes or longer, and they're edited.
TrU3Ta1ent even is a pretty damn good killer and games last anywhere from 10-20+ minutes.
Also while I'm not the best survivor, I generally have longer games as well, unless the killer is a Myers who pubstomps every one of us with EW3.
