Can you get "Adept" with hatch?

Just in an argument with a guy who says you can't despite the fact that myself and others have said they have done it. He thinks I'm blatantly lying. Please comment if you have or haven't. Would like to see the results.

    In the past it didn't work.. but maybe they changed that recently.

    I have got it before if I recall correctly, but hatch is slightly buggy with trophies so you'll generally have to try a few times. Safer to just use the door honestly.


    Please note that I have adept trophies busy day 1 or 2 of the dlc. So been awhile.

    I feel like... It could work..? Never tried it. I always escaped through the gates.

    I have gotten all my adepts. I was sure I had a few hatch escapes with them but I know for sure 100% I got Adept Laurie with hatch because I got the "Where did they go??" achievement at the same time.

    they made a new one where you have to close the hatch like 30 times so maybe?

    Yes you can. My friend got his adept Nancy by escaping through the hatch last night.

    Yes 100%. Got Steve's yesterday on PS4 via the hatch. Also got 'So Alone' via the hatch.

    Yeah, it does work but sometimes it doesn't. The door is more safer to get the achievement, but hatch is, i guess so. It does work i have gotten it with a couple of survivors, but with one of them i went in the hatch twice (not back to back) and it didn't work.
