Winning/Losing Mentality

I'm asking because I think the feeling of not being good enough to win anything is in everyone that didn't win a particular thing.

I would say that I've never been fortunate/good enough to win anything but I have a persistence to keep at things so I know how to do better if possible.

In terms of luck there's nothing you can do but in terms of someone being better than you I feel like your attitude about your own performance is key to whether you can outperform everyone else.

Dbd seems like a good place to gauge people's perceptions of competition and the way players take losing down to luck or not being good enough.

How do you take defeat/losing?

Do you celebrate small victories and progress towards embetterment and improvement?

What is your mindset during something competitive?

Personally, i will care for a moment then i won't.It really depends on the victory. If i've been trying to win something really hard for let's say about a very long time, then yes i will be really happy with myself.Oh and btw, people in Dead by daylight like to give credit to everyone else, but themselves for the their own lack of skills and failure. For example ''Tryhard Killer you camped and tunneled me and because of you, i lost!'' or ''Idiot teammates couldn't rush the gens faster because they were preventing noed and i got downed and mori'ed''.

Easy wins are boring, now the difficult wins or the maps you get a lot of blood points are the most important ones, that's when I feel pleased to the game.

When it comes to loosing I tend to analyze what I did wrong in order to get better and improve as a player, the key is being self instructed while playing, ''play smart, go pro''

Sometimes you get unlucky, maybe by randomly stepping into the killers way, or the one that I hate the most, is when the killer is chasing someone else and suddenly it goes towards your hiding place and finds you

Nothing to do against luck but you can definitely reduce the chances of being caught when playing certain game style

Whether i win or lose, i just leave the scoreboard screen immediately (unless i wanna ask something) and start doing stuff.

Level up my Wraith, or whichever Killer needs their Teachables unlocked, then start a new match & browse on here while i wait for that match to start.

When ever I lose, I put the blame on myself no matter the situation. I tell myself I can always do better. When I win, or during the game when I feel good that I’m going to win, I have fun and hype myself up.

Going in the match, I’ve been trying to have a winning mentality. Having a winning mentality will have you playing better and have more confidence. Just stay disciplined and humble. NEVER let EGO play a factor.

I just analyse what did i do wrong.

And during the match… the harder it gets, the more dangerous i am.

All I do really is just understand that nobody wins every single time. People always lose, and you can't avoid it sometimes.

However, I'll be annoyed and maybe distressed that one small mistake completely destroyed me.

And obviously pissed off when people are being beyond toxic. But overwhelming satisfaction can apply if I get sweet revenge on that person. And it happened once and what I would consider to be the best moment of my life as a gamer.
