With add-ons maybe it's ok but probably not good.

If you have a portal on the shack with someone in the basement directly below it, the portal will not detect them, that was in the PTB as portals don't detect hooked people anymore but it is still true for the distance.

If you want to detect people with your portals they need to be working on your portal. So if you somehow detect someone with your portal, your portal just got destroyed. BHVR thought this was an amazing feature for ''advanced players'', direct quote from their video showcase of this Killer.

I would say the only bright side to this is that Demogorgon doesn't seem to be add-on dependent so if you only ran range add-ons for the Portals then you would still be viable and dangerous.

For reference that's the exact distance you have to put the portal away from an Exit Gate. Meaning that assuming you have the minimum distance it's precisely distance from the center of the portal and the exit gate.

That's roughly twice the size of the portal itself.
