I’ve had a lot of matches lately where I spawn inside a heavy heartbeat, usually found off the bat when that happens.

Each map in DBD is "Procedurally Generated" meaning if a Gen was in, say, a Coldwind Jungle Gym one game, it won't normally be there again. The game has the base outline of the map and placed props (Gens, Totems, Jigsaw Boxes, Devotion Pools etc) and places them in the map randomly. Some terrain features such as the small hills are also sometimes in different spots, however, Landmark props (the Gen in the Thompson House for example) will always spawn at that landmark. You just had the fortune for the game to spawn you right there

Hex totems make a sound. If you listen it sounds like those barrels that are lit.

Just today i spawned like 2 rooms away from a totem on Lerys, i felt so bad for the killer
tho i was cheesed because the totem bar was literally 100%, but i got grabbed off it and it didnt break.

i agree, it makes hex perk literally useless, i hate it when it happens and i always feel bad as a survivor when i literally find it in 5 seconds

I don't see this as a problem, as sometimes the totem is hidden so well you never find it until it's too late, especially if it's Devour Hope. I've spawned next to lit totems as killer as well.

Map generation has its flaws but it's all down to Survivors searching there spawn area. But if they had a RM... Peace out Hex: Devour Hope that lasted 10 seconds

You don't think it's a problem when a survivor spawns right next to a hex?
Also why should it be a problem if a killer spawns next to his hex? He is not going to cleanse it.

A killer gets to check around without survivors thinking he went straight to it. If a survivor gets to spawn next to it they get to cleanse it.
It's not a problem when they spawn right next to it because again, they can sometimes spawn in places where they're also never found. If doors can spawn right next to each other, then hex totems can spawn next to survivors.
