Please DO NOT enable temporal aliasing on low! It makes everything muddy!
It's a horrible form of AA that blurs everything on screen. Textures look sharp on low, while anything above makes it look like a mud-pie.
Please. The only reason things look pixely for some is due to playing on lowered res scaling or simply due to 1080p or lower monitors not having enough pixels to provide a smoother image.
For people on 1440p+ monitors we'll have to disable AA in settings, and even though it may not ban me today, the devs stated that if anything were to happen and people get banned for modifying the graphics file they WILL NOT unban them. There's no guaranteed safety.
Take a close look at the image above and you'll see why this is a bad idea.

Wait, so if I have antialiasing set to 0 in the settings .ini file, this will no longer disable it completely?
I would prefer the awful hair than vaseline-o-vision.

If you have it set to 0 in the ini file, it should be off after the patch. But the problem is introducing "vaseline-o-vision" with no option to turn it off other than risking a ban. How large this risk is, is unknown.

It's about graphics and visuals, it appears to me lower graphics look better than higher graphics. :)

The risk is 0, as the settings file is just a user-editable file from Unreal Engine that is intended for advanced user modifications. Simple as that. It even says that in the Unreal documentation.

It is to do with a line in the new hotfix patch notes.
They will be applying AA to Low settings, whereas before it was only applied to Medium and higher.
I have the game set to Low but enable Ultra textures, shadows etc in the settings .ini file, but leave AA disabled because it's like playing with cataracts. The game looks great and crisp this way.
Also OP, I seriously doubt they would ban for editing the settings file.

It wouldn't be intentional, rather if EAC decides for whatever reason it is bannable, then you have the issue where the devs stated that they will NOT unban you.

Yeah, because you have to talk to EAC. That's clear. Why should the devs bother? They have no control over EAC and their ban system! And EAC has a specific list they ban for.
