BT no longer works against Freddy?
Just unhooked another survivor with Freddy closing in. He then stood still there for a moment, then smacked her down again. BT doesn't work on him anymore?
All-Freddy perks + NOED + Kid's drawing, but we hadn't even fixed all generators yet.

It doesn't work when you're asleep. Even if it triggres, the unhooked survivor can do anything about, since the timer will just deplete even in chase.

BT has lost its momentum since it was nerfed back when Legion dropped.
I'm surprised people even use it anymore...

It no longer works so long as the rescuer is asleep.

Still works nicely in most of my matches. This problem with Freddy is something new.

BT is still strong. The reduced bleedout timer is compensated by not going down in TR.
Only a handful of killers can take advantage of that.
2 -
That was literally a HUGE buff to the perk.
3 -
I never notice it because I either play Stealth Killers (I mix up every match so idk) Or people don't know how to use BT anymore... Cause it's never used in a good situation anymore.
Still, I hardly ever see it in play anymore at high ranks. It was only really effective during an end game scenario anyways. Maybe it's not good against me because I use stealth Killers more often? But I do mix up Killers every match, so Idk.
Depends, after that "buff" I hardly saw it in play as much anymore... It was definitely not a buff if it was used less... It was just a correction in the system to compensate for how the mend timer works, so why wouldn't BT work the same way?

Unlike killer, survivors have many good perks to choose from. Not seeing one perk doesn't make it bad. Example, Iron Will.
2 -
I see tons of BT/DS/ADREN/DH at every rank I play in :(
I'm actually certain that is still quite meta.
2 -
Not all perks are intended to be meta. Some cater to different playstyles.
Also, I believe that BT will still work, since the hooked survivor can hear Freddy’s Terror Radius since they’re awake.
EDIT: The previous info (in regards to BT), is incorrect. According to Peanits— it’s all about whether or not the RESCUING survivor hears the terror radius. Hence, if the rescuing survivor is oblivious, Borrowed Time will NOT activate.
2 -
It will work if the person saving the hooked person isn't in dream world
1 -
Yeah, I just got confirmation about it. :) Edited my former comment about it.
So to answer the question at hand, IF the survivor is asleep (hence oblivious), Borrowed Time will not work. However, if the rescuing survivor is awake, it will work.
2 -
Regardless if it prompts or not the survivor in BT bleedout will be asleep thus the timer will go down, even in a chase.

how dare the devs force you to learn how to safe unhook against a single killer.

I'm fine with the change. Just needed to understand the mechanic behind it.

They could make it a range thing instead of being in the killers terror radius but that would be kinda op but its just an idea

Then the perk is bugged. Bc as of rn it is not working the way ur saying Peanits descibed

Was the RESCUING survivor asleep?
Also, just to clarify- I was wrong.

Yes, but OoO works great.

If your asleep your oblivious, oblivious means no terror radius (although you can still hear the little girls singing)

I was about to say, I'm pretty sure BT applies based on the rescuer. I'm pretty sure that's why they added oblivious.
1 -
Not the sole reason oblivious was added, yes: it’s based on the rescuer. If the rescuer is asleep, BT will NOT trigger due to the oblivious status effect being applied to said survivor.
