Double BP Survivor vs Killer
Playing Killer during Double BP is a joke (in the sense that it's too easy). You don't even have to change you're build because BBQ is already meta. At most, you might see a few more killers running Thrill of the Hunt for the extra BP. So you have killers going around running what they always run and getting between 100k-200k per match NOT farming.
And the you have the survivor side where you have to waste a slot running We're Gonna Farm Forever for stacks you may not even get, Prove Thyself, AND escape cakes/party streamers and HOPING you don't get tunneled or camped by some ######### looking to ruin your day and leave with like 60k.
I'm not asking for anything to happen to the amount of BP killers get. What I need is a boost to the amount of BP survivors can get OR to make the survivor bloodpoint boosting perks more useful in the same way that BBQ is one of the most powerful perks in the game AND gives double BP. Or just add bloodpoint boosting effects to more survivor perks.
As it stands right now, survivors can get extra BP from WGLF, Prove Thyself, and offerings.
Killer can get extra BP from BBQ, Beast of Prey, Thrill, Distressing, Offerings, AND their add ons (300% boost for no teleport Hag, 100% for terror radius Wraith, speed limiters for the chainsaw killers). You can run upwards of 300k a match running all those things. Freaking insane.

I agree to an extent, but don't put killers into the equation.
Survivors and killers should have a higher total cap for each category, like 10k each category for a total max of 40k per trial.
Survivors who escape should never score less than 20k points.
Escaping should grant a 10k bonus, basically the whole survival score event.
A typical good game for a survivor should be around 23-25k with an escape, a couple of gens and saves and running the killer a bit.
Also, I think that depending on what role has been played the most at a particular time , the other role should get a 10-20% BP increase to push people to play that role to shorten queues

I wasn't attempting to throw shade at killers or say that anything should be changed about them. I think I said something to that effect in my original post, but yeah.
Survivors need some kind of boost to BP and it's crazy to escape a match and come out with like 17-18k (which is like a bad game for a killer)

Agreed

NAH,NAH!!! forget you silly survivor main. This is called DEAD BY DAYLIGHT! You will not live forever, and the lucky one of you who gets that unhook will meet MAKE YOUR CHOICE, and be next on the hook. I'll make sure of it because I hate survivors and all they stand for. They are all toxic and you can't change my mind that the game is made for you and all your survivor friends.
I'll see you in matchmaking, bye.

Mind you, for the amount of time we are waiting for a Killer game, i think the boosted Bloodpoints are justified!

.....o......k.

Totally agree, I don't even have a maxed out barbecue and chilli yet I still get 2-3× as many points as I would as a survivor running maxed out WGLF

I play killer as well so I know how the wait times are. Again, nothing is wrong with the amount of bloodpoints killers get.
But within the same time frame, let's say an hour: A killer may play 5 or 6 matches, and a survivor (in solo queue because SWF lobby times aren't short either) can usually play 10 to 12. The bloodpoint balance doesn't equate. It's not even close.
1 -
and that has what to do with the topic of bloodpoints???
9 -
That's why I told you not to mention killers :)
Your topic holds more than enough substance without accounting killers into the equation.
Survivors need many more bps that's UNDISPUTABLE
4 -
Yeah, you tell them not to use a reference point. I don't know how they don't realize these are the killer Forums. They are just TOXIC, and never learn these survivors.
0 -
Can we just buff WGLF already?
4 -
I see. Thank you for informing me. Where do I find the antidote for the toxicity that is inherently inside me as a survivor main?
0 -
You will never rid of it. Don't even bother trying.
0 -
gg ez git gud Oh no. it's coming out again. someone help me be less toxic

I'm more around a 70/30 survivor main currently, but I would argue (MOST) killers don't HAVE to use add ons. I've seen plenty of Hags, Spirits, Billys, Nurses, Myers, Ghostfaces, Huntresses and other killers stomp teams with no add ons, and in some cases, no perks

If you’re playing 5 minute games as survivor I see the problem, and yes I get sometimes a tunnel or camp happens but it’s not every game or even the majority like people seem to claim.
1 -
This is actually a very good point.
Functioning killers have a lot more play cost in having to use addons up every game which is something the survivor don't have to worry about. On top of the fact that survivor can actually keep getting more items in game whereas the same can't be said for killer addons.
Higher Living Expense = Higher Salary
Matches real life pretty closely when living in somewhere like San Fran for example.

Keep in mind people smoke their whole lives and don't get cancer. That doesn't mean smoking doesn't cause cancer.
Just because you can get 4k's without addons, doesn't mean most killers aren't addon dependent.

the amount of BP you get in an average survivor match is patethic compared to a BBQ no sweat killer match. It is one of the reasons i mainly play killer.
0 -
The problem with survivor bp is that they are awarded different unlike killers who get by just playing normally
if you want to get a lot of bp as a survivor you have to work so hard for , and the survival category is a joke
I have played the game for a while and only few times I got over 30k bp ( without the need of bp offerings)

This was the reason I came to the forums at the moment. To see if someone has made this post. Two of my killer matches nets me almost 250,000 blood. Two survivor matches I'll be lucky if I can make it to 80,000. There is no incentive to play survivor over killer at this point, which I really would like to do. I play both but with this event if I want the blood I'm being pushed towards killer.
BBQ basically just triggers on a hook. Insta points for killers. Wglv is if you can make it to the downed person and hope the killer isn't camping or tunneling and you need to do that 4 times. 4 hook rescues in a match where there are two other people who are doing the same thing.
I agree with the point to boost survivor BP.
1 -
I just played a match where I cleansed Hex: Ruin. Worked on 3 gens fully on my own. And then finally got caught but 2 teammates were already dead and the last one was caught from BBQ and the game was over. I only received 11,000 BP. The killer on the other hand Got 25,000 plus w.e bonuses from x2 and BBQ. There is no incentive to play solo survivor unlike killer during this event. Especially since your not escaping every match unless your SWF because I always get the not so good teammates.
1 -
like I should at least be awarded extra points for being sacrificed on first hook.
0 -
And that’s exactly why the devs should give survivors more BP, so that more people play as them and the killers queue time become shorter
0 -
I disagree about several things here. I'm fairly new to the game and don't have a lot of top their killer perks. By the time I down 1 survivor 4 gens are done. My second survivor all 5 are completed and I'm being looped by people who have played a lot more than I have. End of game I'm lucky to get even 1 if they are communicating. Then I score a large sum of 12k BP not doubled, and they got 20k+. I'm not saying it's balanced I'm saying no matter what you do it won't balance.
0 -
This is unnecessary and uncalled for.
OP was just saying killers get more BP than survivors because survivors hardly get everything, especially when WGLF requires you to be altruistic. Not everyone can be altruistic, sometimes you're the teams gen-jockey or runner. Getting a combination of 4 unhooks and protection hits is absurd because you're talking about getting 4 unhooks when survivors only have 8 hooks before they start getting sacrificed.
Protection hits aren't any better, there's a reason why Mettle of Man is near impossible to activate.
I remember someone saying you should get a token after cleansing a totem, completing a generator, safely unhooking survivor, and healing a survivor FOR THE FIRST TIME. :)
This would help, and I can say this, I never seen a survivor get the sum of 32K from all categories Bloodpoints in my 1000+ hours, so this should definitely say something.
3 -
Hey, if campers are leaving your matches with 60k, I see why they do it.
Punish them.

There is a reason que time skyrocket during blood hunts. Killers get way more BP per hour easily. I ran several matches letting everyone go, not farming, and getting 150k or more. In the same amount of time, I can run several survivor matches and maybe get 100k. Not even close.
There is no doubt that survivors need more BP. I don't think higher rewards are needed though. Just more BP boost perks. Survivors should have a perk like Chili that gives a boost to ALL BP gains, bot just one category. Maybe they earn a stack for productive actions like healing, distractions, gens, totems, boxes. I really think that would work.
1 -
At the very least give us a stack for healing! 😫
1 -
I usually get instant killer lobbies while survivor lobbies take awhile.
0 -
Srsly?! Are you on PC?! I'm waiting 10-15 per game!
0 -
I’m on PS4
0 -
Which may explain it. Oddly, when ST dropped, I was getting the fastest lobbies as a Killer, that I'd had in a long time. Alas, now, not so... :(
Doubly a shame as Steam is down currently...
0 -
200k per match?
Teach me your ways!!!
I have seen exactly 1 bloody party streamer this entire event...kinda sad. Got 102k as my max (only because of the event, and lack of pudding)
But on a serious note, yeah...it's way easier to get bps as a killer. Kinda of annoying really
0 -
But you can play 2.5 survivor games to 1 killer game because of wait times
0 -
Considering the event doesnt have any additional effect when stacked with cakes or WGLF or anything... This isnt a special problem that comes out with a BP event. You wont get any additional points from using escape cakes or WGLF today than you would using them before the event.
0 -
I'm pretty sure the OP knew I was trolling, but I can point that out for ya. I know there are tons in these forums who will come out with some bullshit point that they need more BP for w/e reason, just getting them ready for DBD logic. Look, just scroll up we got a winner spirit main. We all know spirit definitely is handicapped to oblivion like nurse with no addons. I need me my beads because matches are very hard with no addons.
0 -
@GrootDude Just the opposite here on PC. My killer queues have been 10-15 minutes for the bloodhunt, but Survivor has been instant match after match.
So, I decided to go all Ash Williams on the Entity.
1 -
My que times are starting to be really nice on both sides now
0 -
@GrootDude I can't wait until this crap just ends so I can get back to playing Killer. Already got Clown halfway to 40. He's fun.
I'll finish him off after the Bloodhunt via one of my several Tier 3 BBQ killers.
0 -
I got Steve and Nancy to 40 so I have their perks on my Claudette now, I’ll be leveling up other survivors to prestige them since I plan on p3ing every survivor.
0 -
A damn camping/tunneling rank 5 nurse sent me that earlier. So annoying ...
0 -
@GrootDude I typically play DbD as a side game, but grinded out this Bloodhunt for my killers. I'm not putting points into Ash so far, and have just been playing him as a Level 1 survivor. At this point, I'm just grinding out account levels for the shards for when a few Survivor perks come into the Shrine that I need. I so far have enough shards for 3 perks.
I'll hold them until certain teachables hit the shrine then get them. Once I have a couple, then I'll start leveling Ash. I did get Claudette to 40 during the event, so have hers unlocked.
Anyway, I probably have a week or two left in me after the Bloodhunt ends, which will get Clown to 40 (and maybe Nurse to 35 for Thana) , and then I am taking a break. Around that time Halloween Terror will be starting in Overwatch through early November. And then I have stuff to do first couple of weeks in November that will mean zero gaming time. So, I'll shortly be gone from DbD until at least mid-November.
I won't ever prestige a character. I don't play DbD enough to deal with that stuff. Leveling them once was enough bullshit for me.
1 -
@GrootDude Oh, you mentioned Steve and Nancy. I haven't bought the Stranger Things DLC yet. Hell, I only bought Ghostface because he was $3 during the recent sale, otherwise I wouldn't have bought him either.
DLCs, cosmetics, the upcoming battlepass, I absolutely refuse to give Behavior another dime until they actually fix many of glaring issues with this game, beginning with the matchmaker and moving onward, instead of just taking the path of least resistance because the actual fixes that are needed would take a lot of time and work.
For me to buy any further DLCs, they would have to contain perks that absolutely shift the meta. Otherwise, I have access to all the meta perks already, and enough perks overall between the 17 survivors and 16 killers that I currently own, plus all the general pool perks, to do a wide variety of builds.
This game is in desperate need of an Operation Health, and until Behavior gets serious about that as opposed to chasing license after license, and releasing DLC after DLC, and soon battlepass after battlepass, I'm not going to financially endorse them. It's feeling way too much like a pseudo-EA game, and I don't pay EA for good reason, either.
