Well Trapper is pretty good with enough traps.
Any killer hiding down there with Insidious can be dangerous.

Camping leatherface.
Leatherface in general is fine.
The thing is, if all killers facecamp, leatherface is the only one that 100% will keep the guy on the hook and maybe get a few others for good measure

Me. Way I see it, Nurse can just teleport to the basement at a moment's notice as long as they aren't waaaay far away from the basement. That's very relevant in my eyes.

Leatherface because... well, duh. Hag as well.
But Huntress is terrifying in the stairwell as well, especially with bandaged haft / oak haft. She can 1-2 combo people down incredibly quickly while not having much "cooldown time" like at the end of a Leatherface chainsaw attack.

Hag. She can landmine the basement with traps in seconds and teleport back there in seconds.

The demogorgon I've seen a twitch streamer make an amazing build with the demo and when someone passes by is portal that is put beside the basement so when they go down he gets a warning and with his add on he makes it there before they make it to the steps 😂 I thought it was amazing how he could protect the gens and the basement while putting pressure on the map

This probably isn't what you mean, but I've had a lot of fun in the past standing in the basement as Spirit and just staring at the chest. Very often, a survivor will come down, see me standing there, and still go for the chest. I phase over and pull them right off.
It's hella amusing.

Your question is who has the best basement game, not who's the best basement camper.
Leatherface is better at camping the basement, but I'd still say Hag has the better basement game.
This is because Hag doesn't have to camp the Basement. She can simply place a few traps and move on and when they are unhooked she's back. That means she can get into chases with other people and get more gen pressure via more hooks in the meantime.

My problem with the Hag stems from the fact that if you are aware you are going up against the Hag, you should be smart enough to not proc the Traps when going for a basement save. They're not like Bear Traps where you are literally not allowed to step on it. As long as you don't GOTTAGOFAST while treading that area, and your Hooked teammate (who absolutely should be aware that it is the Hag) also does the same, you should be fine making that escape.

If they are trying to crouch their way past the basement you have plenty of time to get back.

True, but she likely won't be making her way back until either the person has been unhooked or the Trap has gone off (in which case the Survivor messed up). In the case of the former, once you have identified where the Trap(s) is/are, you don't need to crouch the whole way back; you just need to either sidestep them or crouch over them.

lowkey...Myers. Stalk until you’re close to T3, bring Insidious, and just smack everyone in the basement
other than that I would say Trapper cause you can trap all around the shack or wherever the basement is and survivors would either have to get caught or disarm the trap (which gives plenty of time for you to get there to hit them)

While i agree with alot of people about hags basement game, but alot of people are sleeping on the Doctor. Hes a like bubba in the regard that a single survivor literally cannot take someone off of a hook of the doc is face camping it, since he can enter treatment and instagrab people.
Coupled with potential early warnings that people are coming with the screaming, as well as if a survivor hangs around it they get madder, hes got some decent game (albeit its still lame af to do it)
