What did you think when we got The Pig instead of Jigsaw? How has your opinion changed?
I remember almost everyone being mad at how The Pig was not a big enough character to deserve her place as killer in dbd. Or something on those lines.
However I feel like a lot of people saying that surely are glad we got the pig as killer.
What was your reception towards her upon release and how has it changed?

I was disappointed, I really wanted (and still wish that we got) Amanda as a survivor for that chapter.

I guess you were probably infuriated about Detective Tapp as were others. I absolutely understand how you would be.
He's not so bad but there were definitely better options to go for.

Amanda makes sense she was a killer she never played fair and upon her failing to her last test the enitity knew she could control her. I truly do think Amanda thinks the enitity is John so she is trying to win back good graces.
I really love tapp his unstoppable nature they both was perfect choices for the game.

I think bhvr will try for Kramer and perhaps we'll see him later on in the fog... but I was surprisingly happy that it was Amanda who they got :)

I thought it made sense, it would either be Amanda or Hoffman because Jigsaw played fair, cruel, but fair. Amanda was merciless and fits the bill of the word "Killer"

I was glad for Amanda, as a killer is great (she was) if not as the survivor. Tapp is pretty cool too though, and I love Tenacity.

If we're talking within the lore of the movies, Amanda wasn't probably picked because she wasn't a "Survivor" for the majority of the movies... Yes, her background shows that she wasn't originally with Jigsaw at the beginning, but for the only time's that was shown, it was in flashbacks or clips.
It made sense to have her as the Killer, Jigsaw was weak and frail from... well... I don't know if I can spoil things about it, but you get what I mean. He wasn't suitable, now... to give a devoted and obsessed disciple the role or Killer, while also staying true to her concept of being quite... unfair... and that's a good pick indeed.
Either her, or it would've been Hoffman. But I feel Hoffman never really was as devoted as Amanda was when it came to Jigsaws vision, especially during the later parts before... well... you know.

Hoffman sounded like a better option for a Saw killer to me, but i kinda get why they would go for Amanda, she is extremely devoted to her cause and relies on someone or something to keep going, the entity was the perfect option for her.

I thought it was great personally, love having Amanda as a Killer, was also great to have more women on the Killer side, which previously was Nurse & Hag only. I couldn't see John Kramer himself as the Killer and Mark Hoffman isn't was interesting as Amanda (imo) to be behind the mask.
I still like it, as Pig is one of my main Killers (eventually get back to leveling her up) her lil squeak when getting Pallet slammed is great and jus like the personality she has. A lot of fan art & fanmade comics have great depictions of Amanda that are wholesome, which in hindsight, I don't think would work if Pig was either Kramer or Hoffman.

I thought it was an odd choice at first glance, but quickly realized why they went that way.
Jigsaw, while he puts people into horrible situations, wants them to survive and become stronger. While Amanda still idolized Jigsaw, she eventually decided he was misguided there, and wants them to die. The Entity would have had to break down everything which made Jigsaw promising as a potential killer to actually get him to take on the role, while all it would have to do with Amanda was let her delude herself into thinking this is some kind of game to get back into Jigsaw-senpai's good graces.

Jigsaw is a cripple, I didn't expect any different than Amanda.

My opinion hasn't changed.
I was happy they got the rights, to the SAW series.
To me, having John as the killer wouldn't make any sense... He was stuck in a wheelchair by part 2

At first I was like
Uh...what?
But I tried her out through shards and watched some videos
I ended up liking her, so I bought the chapter and since then I had a lot of fun with her and even managed to get to rank 1 thanks to her

I joined the game some time after the saw dlc came out. So I missed out on the hype and everything
I am fine with amanda being the killer and not John or hoffman. It doesn't fit johns character and I hate hoffman.
And Tapp... is my number 1 survivor

Disappointing that "Detective Tap" was the survivor but I honestly thought Amanda made more sense as the killer. I mean "Jigsaw" or "John Kramer" was a mostly feeble old man after the first movie. Sure he is THE Jigsaw but Amanda had much more involvement in the films and most importantly had a "lust" for killing, unlike Kramer who thought the captured victims deserved to escape if they proved themselves.
Amanda's lust for the kill would have had a far more alluring effect on the Entity.
