Nancy's Fixated Perk
I don't see any real tangible benefits of either aspect of this perk. I am sure someone will tell me I am shortsighted and explain why it's great. That would be fine as I would really like to know.
The first part of the perk is I can see my scratch marks when I run. I mean no other survivor can see their own scratch marks. That makes it a unique perk. At the same time seeing my own scratch marks provides no useful benefit that I can determine.
The second part of the perk is that I can WALK anywhere from 10 to 20% faster. I can see minimal benefits to this. I understand running 10 to 20% faster would be a game changer and perhaps even reach the point of being an unfair advantage to survivors. However, any advantage walking faster gives a survivor seems to be so insignificant as to be practically useless compared to nearly any other perk in the game.
Having said all that.... is there a way to use this perk that actually makes it beneficial?

For me it's mindgaming the killer. I can see what they see. However it doesn't work on more experienced killers. I personally like though.

Seeing your own scratchmark can help you using them against the killer, make him follow a false lead while you walk away (faster) in another direction.
The walk movement speed can be used to juke BBQ&Chili. Killer hooks a survivor, you run to the left for 4 seconds then walk to the right. Some killer will predict this and go right, but they don’t know you are using the perk so they won’t go right enough.
Also, the walk movement speed and scratchmarks combined are somewhat a direct counter to the Spirit as long as you’re not injured. Spirit phasewalk towards you, you leave your scratchmarks to some intersection then randomly walk behind something that obstructs line of sight and hope she doesn’t guess what you’re doing.

I guess that's where I just don't get the purpose of it. These things aren't needed against inexperienced killers, and provide no benefit at all against a good killer.

This makes sense to me. I can see where this could be useful. With some practice implementing perhaps even very useful. Thanks.

If you are a looper the perk is useless.
If you actually know how to stealth and how to juke the perk is amazing, at least until you get hit.
Learn how to stealth and you will realize how amazing this perk is.

Ironically stealth is my preferred method to play. That is why I posted though. I figured there had to be something I was missing, and it appears the things I was missing about it just might be beneficial to my style of play.

Usually it's the ones that see the scratch marks suddenly end after line of sight, like Spirit. You know that they're in the area. It's fine if you don't like it or understand it. Someone here will probably explain it better than i can. I tend to use it as mind game and leave a gen faster without showing scratch marks. I use Spine chill so it gives me an early notification of when the killer is coming. Some people don't see why Better Together is good either but i like it too.

You’re welcome :)

It's super good to juke around corners for me, also to see when my scratch marks dissapear

The comments here are helping me to see that. It's strange. I can usually pick out the positive aspects of any of the perks. I wasn't see it here. That's why I posted. I figured someone (or many people) pointing out to me what I wasn't able to figure out.

While you are correct in saying that some of the benefits aren't really needed against inexperienced killer and don't really work against good killers, it is absolutely true that this perk is great for stealth.
And if you prefer to stealth, you can do some interesting things with it.
Someone already mentioned using it in jukes against the Spirit. If only it worked injured and we had a perk that stopped blood dripping Spirit would no longer be a problem.
You can also use the perk in jungle gyms. It's crazy how good you can juke even good killers by using running tactics then stopping to walk and juke while in a jungle gym. Most killers aren't used to these tactics and misjudge your movements because of the extra 20% speed, so they can trick themselves into thinking you couldn't have possible gone there when you in fact did.
It doesn't only work on gyms, it works good in many spots with lots of LOS blockers and corners. The perk creates all sorts of new safe spots on the map which traditionally aren't by looping standards. It doesn't last long though because if you get injured you lose the benefit, but just focus on juking for a while and you'll suddenly see how good this perk is.
For best results use it in conjunction with Urban Evasion, and be sure to pack Inner Strength and/or a medkit so you can heal up after getting injured.

I don't know that anyone explained it better. I think it is a combination of all the explanations. I was simply failing to see aspects required to understand the benefits. That's why this forum is great. There's always someone to help all of us realize when we simply are missing the bigger picture. I know I miss it at times.

If I could award bonus points..... I can only vote up your reply (and I did). I am convinced I need to give this perk a try now.

Btw, do you know if you can see pebble's scratch marks?

Do you mean Adam's perk? I don't think you can unless that has changed. You throw it and wherever it lands it makes the noise notification for the killer. If it started getting scratch marks that would be interesting.

It did get that buff a while back now

I used it for a bit to get more of an idea on perks that hide your scratch marks.
For instance, using Quick and Quiet and Dance With Me should allow you to jump out of a locker silently, and leave no scratch marks for several seconds. However, running Fixated you can see that the instant you jump out of the locker scratch marks spawn all around it, then you leave none when running with DWM, meaning the killer actually can see where you were and are more likely to negate the combination.
