Why does matchmaking think this is Okay? Where’s the hard cap?
I get into full lobbies in 10 seconds. So am I getting the short end of the stick for being the only killer playing or something?
Why are my games 90% of the time always against survivors clearly with an average rank better than my killer rank.
This match even broke the +6 -6 rule. I’m baffled just trying to do a daily : /
Why doesn’t @Peanits or @not_Queen or someone at Behavior respond to my post???

The rank 3 might have been rank 4 before the match to be fair.
And yes on PS4 there is a bit of a killer shortage it seems.

Fair point but to be fair he/she might have been 3 before the match too. We really don’t know know that. it’s just speculation. What I do know what’s on the pic above.

Actually I just remembered a match yesterday against a grren rank, I want to say rank 10 or 11 killer where I myself was rank 2 and everybody else was also red rank. Everybody was playing solo as well.
So yeah I think the matchmaking eventually throws the +/- 6 thing out the window.

Thanks for the info. I’m not really trying to start or pick fights. Haha just frustrating that dumb topics like let’s there’s barking dog in this map get way more light than this one.
I wanted to at least get some feedback to see if I’m not alone experiencing some of this stuff.

To be fair. This topic has been a thing for weeks now... Unlike a dog barking on certain map or any other type of lesser mentioned topics. People kinda just ignore topics that get repetitive by title alone.

I have expirienced this and it is frustrating. Mostly because the huge gap in skill that were being thrown into just because they want to fill the lobvy fast. Id be happy to wait a few minutes to be thrown into a similar skilled lobby than the colorful rainbow that we get at times. Its the sole reason i limit my gaming when i rank to near 10, 9 or 8 because you get way too much varience in the people who are in your lobby as a killer. Sometimes it baby survivors. Sometimes its red ranks and high purples.

Yeah I guess your right on that. The funny thing is that with this change I’ve been deciding to play less killer and play other games. When in my area there’s seems to be a lack of killers.
I would not mind the gap if I was waiting for like 5+ minutes for a match, but 10 seconds is what I’ve been constantly waiting. Seems like Behavior wants me to fill the gap for the lack of killers in my region for the benefit of their wait time and at the expense of my experience.
There should be bonus points for the rank disparity or something to not push away those playing killer when there’s too much survivors or vice versa.
If that was the case, give me all the red ranks you want lol

Yes. I've been floating around Killer purple ranks for the past couple of weeks. And I'd say about every 3 out of 5 matches, I'll get all red rank survivors. Usually with at least one or two rank 1's.
I initially thought it was just due to me playing during later (early morning) hours, with a natural lack of more Killer players. But I've been playing earlier in the day the past week, and the problem still persist.
Confident in saying, there is a severe lack of red rank Killers on PS4.

Thanks for the info seems like your running into similar issues. I appreciate the feedback.
I too have been switching it up to see if time of day or something was causing this, but after playing almost every day this week I seem to get the same results.
Yeah lack of killers on PS4 may be wood adding fire to the problem. I wish there was live or monthly stats to see killer to survivor ratios.

Because being a red rank killer is a complete punishment.
I am in the red ranks on ps4 right now because I played a lot during the blood hunt and now I don't want to play anymore.
Every mstch is sweat and try hard, it's not funny it's miserable.
I cannot wait for rank reset, but even then I'll need to play less and less to avoid ending up in the red ranks

I'd say 1-20 is fair game =p not that it's fair mind you.

Don't know if you are going to see this, but I did end up ranking down to 8, and have only been getting 2's and up (average is 3/4, 5/7). So the games are still plenty challenging, but without the urgency/intensity (frustration) of the rank 1 games I was previously getting.
I'm sorry, but to play at that level, I know rank isn't supposed to mean much, but I do need the validation of seeing that number 1 or 2 next to my name!
So that "hard limit" of 6 ranks below/above your rank, really does seem to be working correctly. Wish I would've learned about it sooner, instead of trying to rank up for those couple of weeks there, lol.
Which, for the record, I have no shame in saying: playing at rank 1 I typically safety pip. Which I am fine with. So getting to rank 1 after these recent matchmaking additions, is quite literally impossible for me now, lol.
