Vigo owned the first Engineer's Toolbox
Vigo made the hatch
Vigo even made the Pustula Nectar formula.
However, due to all of the above feats it's likely that the Entity got tired of his tinkering with her realm and captured him.

That’s a new character who is being introduced into the game. He has the ability to channel old memories that killers & survivors had before it was wiped away from them. He goes by many names such The observer, The Alchemist, and many other names.
This was mention in the Year 3 anniversary.

He didn't made the hatcht. He was simply the first to notice it.
Wether he did creat it by sheer strenght of will and his knowledge of the fog is still unclear.

Where did you read this? I've been searching for lore and stories but it's hard to find.

If you look on the Dead by Daylight wiki you'll see that Vigo has his name on several different things.
For items, the Engineer's Toolbox has a Vigo quote in its description.
For offerings Vigo has his own shroud that when burned causes survivors to spawn as far away from the killer as possible. Vigo also made a jar of salted lips for, some reason.
Going back on the data while it is only implied that Vigo made the hatch, he was the first person to document finding it.
A summary of Vigo is that he was studying the Entity and it's realm had a lot of gear and knowledge in the realm, and then he vanished. If the Alchemist isn't a new killer then it's still very likely Vigo as Vigo knows more about the Entity's realm than anyone else.
