If you prestige a character you should not be able to sink to grey ranks/rank 20

Currently in a lobby with a p1 Adam with a very telling toxic username who just so happens to be a rank 20.

I’m pretty sure that even if you SUCK at dbd, prestiging a character is somewhat indicative you know better than a genuine new player.

Honestly, no one should be able to sink back to grey ranks once they have progressed past them. Regardless to levels and prestige.

Yeah, also if you dont play as a killer for a couple months and you go back to 20 you must wait like 15 minutes for a lobby.

Rank 20 is for first timers then 15 should be the limit.

Isn't, like, rank 15 actually the limit to going down by rank reset? Or am I thinking about de-piping...

Correct. In order to get below 15 is through rank reset.

OP, they could be a killer main who puts points into survivor.

That wouldn't make any sense. Prestiging is unrelated to rank or skill and is simply you choosing to put lots of blood points into one character.

I remember when I recently came back from a dbd break I was confused by that as well. I had slipped back to rank 19 I think. But half my lobbies were prestige level 50's around the same rank.

what about players who played a lot back in the day, got someone to prestige and hten quit the game for years?

should they not be allowed to play with the other low level players, just because 2 years ago they leveled someone?

You can prestige a player in 6 hours...

I have always thought rank should be tied to hours played or devotion but yeah, prestige is not an indication of skill level, just blood points earned.
