Dying During Struggle Phase?
I've mostly been playing on PS4 recently, and in the last week or so I've died around 4 times on the second hook. I've also noticed a few other people randoms, and friends I might have been playing with also die on second hook.
4 times in a week is a lot, as previously I've only died about 7 times out of 1000's of hours, and several years of playing. Anyone else had issues dying from the second phase of the hook accidentally recently? Or is it just me noticing it more than normal lately.

or dying as in it glitches and kills you instantly?
maybe you haven't been keeping track of what hook you're on. it happens.

It happens a lot due to lag. There’s like 1000 reasons why the struggle phase needs to be changed, and the devs themselves have acknowledged the issue but haven’t done anything about it yet. Maybe they’ll fix it in 2020 if we’re lucky.

Dying as in, I'm mashing the x button at a reasonable pace, and I'm just killed for no apparent reason. The timer doesn't run out, and I'm not forgetting to mash it either. That's why I said I've only died around 7 times in thousands of hours, but the past week it's been 4 deaths, and I've noticed it with randoms, and friends dying in matches. Only the friends could tell me that they didn't intentionally mean to die.
