I hopped into a lobby running the item farming duo for perks. Mentioned I have them in lobby so that people might not go out of their way to open chests for that brown toolbox, hopefully. Timer ticks down to 0, because every lobby has that one Kate that never learned to read, so she doesn't know what the button in the bottom right says, and we're off.

I instantly sprint to a chest, and a David LOUD VAULTS through a window trying to beat me there. I barely edge him out, and he immediately turns around, drops a pallet, and double fast-vaults it before running off. Like, why?

The Freddy is nearby as I finish looting, but sees an unrelated victim first, so he heads off after them. I head to the nearest gen, and guess who's there. I decided to just give him the purple toolbox and sabo addon, and go find more toys. Of course, I'm also the one who has to save him both times he gets hooked, and heal him both times. He responds with a lot of pointing and loud vaulting as... Thanks?

I made sure to check the end screen, and he was just rocking meta perks. No justification for being a dick all game. Blarg.

    @Glory I've had people in my lobby like that that David. And i learned that it you can get a good revenge by just tapping the unhook action when they're dangling up there (:

    But yeah, the story has a happy ending. Everyone else lived, and the David stayed back to taunt the killer and died.

    The Kate was likely doing something while she waited. A lot of times I'll be watching something on YouTube or putting points into my character. She could also be checking out her teammate's profiles, etc. Just because you want to get into a match at the 50 mark doesn't mean everyone does.
