Closing the Hatch isn't always the smartest decision

Firstly i would like to start with a little rant; it's complete bs when you close the hatch right next to a survivor, they can still jump through the closed hatch no matter how hard you spam space or whatever button you're using, i had this scenario happen 3 times in a row, the closing animation begins, the EGC timer starts, the survivor gets adrenaline but they still jump through the closed hatch because screw you. also no this doesn't happen on p2p, only on dedicated servers. AND THIS IS COMPLETE DAMN BULLSHIT AND IF THIS MOMENT EVER HAPPENS TO ME AGAIN I'M GONNA STAB A POTATO.

phew, anyways back to the title, sometimes when 3 survivors are left and one of them opens the hatch, you would think that you should close it asap, but doing so will power the exit gates, meaning that 2 survivors will be alive to open the gates and to top it off, they could both have adrenaline. so what i always do is just wait the 30 seconds which is what it takes for the hatch to be closed if it got opened by a key, what the other 2 survivors do might be 2 things:

  1. They will look for the hatch
  2. they will continue working on the last gen.

the first outcome will be better for you cuz now they're both wasting their time not working on gens but if they continue doing the gens then you would have wasted 30 seconds standing still.

Another case for not closing the hatch is when only 1 survivor is left. what i'm about to say only works with stealth killers:

let's say there are 3 generators remaining and 1 survivor is left and you found the hatch before the survivor, instead of closing it and having to hard-patrol the 2 exit gates, you can mute your terror radius and stand near the hatch. try not to be on line of sight otherwise they'll see you camping the hatch and possibly work on generators. and when you hear them coming you can close the hatch and just chase them or whatever, (unless they have a key).

Thanks for coming to my TED talk also no tl;dr 4 u nub
