Withering Blight event postponed...

BHVR were 100% right to postpone the event if indeed there were bugs which were going to disrupt the event.

Being the massive mug that I am, I yesterday paid Β£85 (around $109) for the WWE 2K20 deluxe edition. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE GLITCHFEST. I am talking near on unplayable. Continually crashes. It should not of been released in this state. I have never seen anything quite like it.

So in regards to the mechanics of the Archives or the Withering Blight event, if there was an issue which could be problematic and spoil players enjoyment, developers have a duty to remedy these errors best they can.

It is annoying. It is disappointing. But I would personally be far more irritated if the devs released a mode/event that had major bugs.

I think that the devs should be assured of their update FIRST, not doing the foolish thing, and ANNOUNCE it 1 day before the event, as people moved away that day, bought the cells, and everything, so that it turns out to be postponed, of course, they could have problems At the last minute, but even let us know, the event itself does seem disappointing, so I don't really want to see itπŸ˜…

If they provide a definitive date, they should stick to it. If they postpone it, they need to supply details as to why. We are.paying customers. We deserve answers. Period.

"Unforeseen circumstances." You mean that isn't enough for you?

If you take time off work to schedule around a video game, you need to reevaluate your priorities.

    What in the actual hell.

And why I have never taken time off work to play any game and have completed all events so far while working 8-9 hours a day πŸ˜‰.

I don't personally see the need to take time off for a game but that's just my opinion. Others may feel it's the best use of their time and It's not my place to say otherwise as we all think differently.

I see time as the one thing we can never get truly back so I keep my time off to spend with family and friends or exploring the world making amazing memories.

Yeah. I'm not trying to belittle how people choose to spend their leisure time, but these events are structured in ways that wouldn't even remotely necessitate taking time off of work to experience what they have to offer. They exist over a period of days or weeks, and you don't need to binge it in a way that interferes with other life responsibilities.

I'm not saying don't indulge during your off-days, but have some perspective. If you're going to use precious and finite vacation days, use them to recharge and have an actual vacation, not just to play a video game that you're probably spending hours every day playing anyway.

We made a one-time payment for the privilege of playing their game (and a DRM game at that, so technically we don't even own it). And we all agreed to a EULA which clearly states that we're not entitled to anything beyond that.

    We don't "deserve" anything. Period.

My guess would be that they waited so late because they were still doing their best to get it out on time. They probably knew that there was a problem days beforehand, but as long as there was a chance they might still be able to fix it before release, they didn't want to disappoint/upset the players unnecessarily. So they only let us know that there would be a delay once they themselves were sure that they had no other option but to delay it.

    MissWonder,

I am chilled, just a bit frustrated by people whining and complaining but not really meaning it :)

And I love Trapper... Here comes the trapper :)

I wish they hadn't tried to tie the archives/rift in with the event. I don't think it would have taken a ton of changes to plop in the point events for hooks from last year's event for killers, and grab the point event from the summer event for the gens with a new skin. This has to be on the rift/archives being added IMO. I get that they want to really draw people into doing the battle pass, but the regular rewards would have been enough to do that later when they can implement it cleanly. They could have kept the vial collection methods similar to last year and probably pushed it out on time. Let's just hope we're not running a Halloween event at Thanksgiving.

For me it was the Withering Blight event cancellation and the monstrosity which is WWE 2K20. Not a good gaming week.
