What does 'unforeseen circumstances' mean?
Like, seriously?
Halloween's turned into a 'Withering Playerbase' event. I'm disappointed.

I'm going to assume the power outage probably just screwed with everything
2 -
That's ridiculous and makes no sense but if that helps you ignore bhvrs poor practices then god speed i guess
3 -
I don't care if it's delayed I really don't
0 -
Could be they found a big they need to fix.
6 -
Exactly. Let them fix whatever it is. I'm not worried. I'd rather them fix it then release something broken.

Guys! I just found footage from the BHVR offices, i think this explains the whole situation
7 -
I assume it's a couple of game breaking bugs. Maybe they accidentally glitched a perk or something. I'm okay with waiting just as long as the Archives come out with breaking my game. :D

Most likely it is the patch failing certification for consoles, otherwise I feel they would have flat out told us what the delay was rather then just use some vague words.

It means ice cream machine broke son

I bet the power outage played a part which definitely isn't in the devs control. We don't know what happened so idk why people are being rude like the devs intentionally did it to annoy people.
3 -
I knew you'd say that...
1 -
I can't believe people are seriously blaming the power outage lol Willful ignorance or genuine failures to reason?
1 -
"We forgot we tied the entire reward system of the event to the mid-chapter patch. Whoops."
5 -
Why would I care about an event I've never experienced
0 -
I'm genuinely impressed at how far up BHVRs ass your head is lol
1 -
I've only been playing this game since April why would I give one #########
0 -
Why are you so triggered over this? Delays happen in gaming all the time, hell, even in the real world, things happen that we can't stop and unfortunatly it just means a short delay. I'd rather have a working event than a bug fest that stops people enjoying the event. People these days have no patience!
0 -
Yikes, I know the event was pushed back but you don't need to be so hostile about it.
1 -
These are good memories to have
0 -
They have their head up Bhvr's ass because they don't care about a deal to an event? Guess it's a big ass since my head must be there too. Events are nothing but a headache. Nothing but a bunch of toxic fuckwits on both sides.

It means they couldn't fix the most crippling glitches as fast as they hoped they could.

These are the same people that would make 100 threads complaining about the patch if it came with a major game breaking bug, leave them to think and offend who they want, they'll never be happy with what BHVR do they'll just moan and continue to play regardless.
1 -
I'm assuming they either failed cert or found a last minute bug. But apparently skippy up there knows the true. We're foolish to question their brilliant insight really.

You guys are cute. This isn't a symptom of a pervasive issue that you guys are happily bending over for or anything lol

I'm curious as to the reason as well, but who cares?
I personally wasn't super excited about the event after I found out it was tied to the battlepass progression.
Even if I was, a delay is just a delay... this is where patience comes into play. We'll be able to experience all the good and bad with this patch eventually.

We ask this question.
The devs:

Honestly I don't disagree. They made this event pretty unappealing anyway, who cares if it's delayed. It's just another BHVR special lol
2 -
Lol it could have been another catastrophic leak that was caught just in the nick of time XD

I think the wording of "unforeseen consequences" implies it's 100% not a bug or anything similar. I mean, they aren't shy in saying they are delaying due to bugs, see also the dedicated servers announcement.
This smacks of something business related for sure.

Most likely an issue occurred on the switch with the 3.3.0 patch and since the archives directly tie in the event they’ve had to delay on all platforms until they can get the switch patch green lit.

It means "circumstances that were not foreseen."
Who knows, maybe there was some 11th-hour issue with the Archives or something that they were not able to troubleshoot in time for a patch submission.
