I dodge if there are multiple people playing the same character. I go out of my way not to tunnel, but I get easily confused if there are multiples of the same character. Sometimes I'll ditch for two, usually for three, and it's basically a guaranteed ditch if there are four of the same character.

If I just want to play a chill game where I'm not sacrificing anyone, I may ditch if there are too many toolboxes, because there's not much point in playing a two-minute laidback match.

This is why I always bring at least a brown toolbox when playing survivor, or even better - a broken key. Nothing messes with a killer more than getting them to waste their own perk slot.

My opinion is this, the second lobby needs to be removed. You should be ready the first time you join the queue. Imagine waiting in only one queue. I bet that would make the game at least a little more stable.

    Outfits? Absolutely not

Items? very very rarely and it will have to be like 3 or 4 toolboxes and I'm already having a bad day. 95% of the time I ignore items or bring Franklins.

I would dodge lobbies if it didn't take so long to get one. Any time I see an Ash I pretty much give up on life.

Hell no, I had to wait for this- no sense pussying out even if it’s a sweat fest team Xx

I don't dodge any lobby's, most of the time I don't even pay attention to the players that're loading into said lobby's because I'm on another tab (That tab being the forums for DBD itself)

I could careless if someone has legit or fake Legacy, or if they're a toxic Nea squad with flashlights, or if they're a gen rushing team with toolboxes. You can't avoid these things forever, so you should just face it head on. (Literally)

I don’t care about skins, but sometimes I will dodge some SWFs lobbies when I see four toolboxes, or more than a key. Not all the time, only when I’m not in the mood, like when I’m pissed in real life for something and just want to relax. Usually I won’t even look what the survivor team looks like.

I avoid SWF teams in general if I'm not in the mood for it. In my experience, games are not only less stressful for me when playing against solo players, but the solo players tend to be less toxic.

  • PGJSF
    PGJSF Member Posts: 369

That’s my experience as well. But hey, when I’m in the mood I don’t care for how toxic they can be as long as I’m having fun.

When I was new to killer I dodged if I saw survivors in P3 outfits and flashlights.

Nowadays I won’t ever dodge a lobby. I won’t dodge but I switch to specific killers if they bring in certain killer. There is no way in hell I am playing Hag against flashlights.

If I suspect the players are really good then I switch to Spirit. Other than that I stick with Plague.

More than one toolbox or key.

full Blendette squad with toolboxes is about the only thing that will even make me go "oh... well this is REALLY gonna suck. Do i want a game where i find no one and the gens are done in an instant?" Other than that even if i see Legacy or something I am like "Welp, gonna try!"

If more than two toolboxes pop, I will dodge. Not interested in a game that's shorter than the que time I had to wait through.

If more than two medkits pop, I'm bringing my Plague, no question.

That sucks. I love wearing bright clothes on anyone, especially Nea. Ninja mask, Blue Sweater and Zebra Pants....ah....colors. I was told i was a tryhard little(Bad Word), before a match. That i had DS, Adrenaline, BL and some other perk. Wasn't far off. I don't use DS, because my heart beats too fast using it.

I dodge when SWF burn Haddonfield offering.

Aint nobody got time for that broken thing.

I just adjust my loadout accordingly. 4 medkits (especially now with the insta heal nerf incoming)? Legacy skins? Over 3k hours? "toxic" names? Okay alright, I will switch back from wraith to nurse with mori. Gg have fun

  • sekkima
    sekkima Member Posts: 194

No, I just adapt, I usually use a nurse, hillbilly (with addons) or spirit.

From experience, I would say that 19 out of 20 swf just want genrush, which means they want to go to the fast lobby, so I just help them.

If everyone carries toolboxs, then I put an ebony.

If there are 4 Dwight, I definitely leave the lobby.

I had 4 Nea's at P3 in a lobby once. My instant reaction was: Challenge accepted. I failed said challenge, but it was a lot of fun attempting to go for them all

More than 2 toolboxes = dip

Not worth the time, sweat and headache for practically a guaranteed loss. If the option to leave is still in the game, it's going to get used.

I've been running non-optimal builds and killers lately. If I see a clear squad or a bunch of toolboxes I'm dodging because I frankly I want to have _some_ chance to do something. There are way more viable survivor builds than there are killer right now, so you really having m handicap yourself when playing off meta.

If someone has an unnatural hair color I will either bring a mori tunnel or camp which are three things I never do. It’s the rules. They must have a bad time.

    They do everytime....

Go to red ranks, win some games and you wont find any killer session, cause the killers are afraid to dont get their precious 4 k.

Then every item get interpreted as their doom.

    Platform: xbox

I never dodge if the player is better i can only learn and improve right?

If i see multiple flashlights/toolboxes or a key im bringing Franklin's and playing my best killer tho

I don’t dodge but if I see Blendettes in the lobby the odds of me slapping on a mori increase.

I always dodge SWF or if a map offering is used. Map offerings 9/10 are Haddon Field, and if someone forces the game then they are probably going too be toxic tryhards, and a SWF have so much communication advantage that it's damn near impossible too get more then a 2k.

Well, on Xbox, there really isn't a cheater issue, nor is there an overly toxic player type to avoid... since most survivors in all honestly aren't very good. However, since the player pool is small, you get to know everyone... however indirectly. : P

However, default characters can be a coin toss. They can either be really, really good, or really really bad. Doesn't mean I dodge, but still something I notice.

Other than actually knowing the person, I only dodge keys.

I feel they're scummy and gamebreaking and going into a match knowing there is one is basically saying "why yes, I'd love to play half a game for half the points."

I either have to run Franklin's which isn't foolproof, or I have to be super sweaty and tunnel the ######### out of someone which isn't fun to me or them. Even once they're gone there's the risk they aren't running add ons to keep the key and all it succeeds in doing is letting the other 3 out prematurely.

On the other hand, outside of daily rituals I never use moris so I feel like it evens out.

  • anarchy753
    anarchy753 Member Posts: 4,212

That's the easiest match though, nobody's doing gens because they're all immersing 3m away from the chase waiting to flashlight.

  • Cymer
    Cymer Member Posts: 946

I never dodge a lobby. I don't see the reason why. If you dodge, what's the point of playing the game in the first place? Go play something else, better suited for your needs.

If I assume it's a tough match, because if their skins, loadout and I see they are all friends, I have the option to bring a Mori, take my best killer and put on my own sweaty pants and best loadouts.

Sometimes I overestimated them and I can relax and toy with them or it will be a fun tough match for all of us.

As survivor it really doesn't matter. If you have a cool team just go in and have fun and if not, make the best of it and grab as many points you can.

I had the happen the other night. He was a baby David for a couple mins(took forever to get 4 survivors) then at the 17th sec mark changed to a p3 jane holding a flashlight. And readied up to start the 5sec timer. I messaged him saying I see what you did there and GL (xbox btw). Let's just say he got recked lol.

Franklin's doesn't help when the survivors can just pick up the toolboxes at a later point. Also usually you don't find everybody in the beginning, so the toolboxes can already be empty when you knock them out of the survivor's hands.

But I still like Franklin's because it helps a lot with avoiding insta-heals.

Same really. It's why I always feel bad for the people that run OoO.... cause they can watch me coming for them with a chip on my shoulder from all of the times my Stealthy bois have been screwed by that perk.

I only dodge if there are 2+ red ping survivors. Otherwise, I know how long the lobby wait times, so I don't want to extend that time longer if possible.

  • pemberley
    pemberley Member Posts: 1,510

I don’t really dodge anymore except unless I have to or if I’m having a bad day and I sense trouble, Scoob. I do have a hard limit of 2 toolboxes. Anything more, I avoid.

  • BenZ0
    BenZ0 Member Posts: 4,125

The only reason why I would dodge a lobby is when I find a friend and I dont want to kill him or when I play hag or wraith, and I see more then 2 flashlights with that. These killers suck against flashlights xD

    bad ping

If i want an easy game sometime i might dodge people who got alot of cosmetics xd cause they are usually experienced player compared to a default meg who usually all they do is hold W xd

But usually i dont care i wanna have fun chases as killer and have a challange. But the ping if it goes orange i always dodge.

Also sometime when i get any of the inside maps i might dc or just meme around (Huntress main ) cause i cant do any long throw hatchets. Not mutch mind game on the inside maps just run pallet to pallet cinda booring even if im a huntress.

  • Carlosylu

Yep, bad ping is a good reason, but I have to see it on 2/4 survivors to dodge

I dodge if I just faced them and they dc'd when I won
