Anyone else going to play The Outer Worlds when it releases?
For those of you who don't know, Fallout: New Vegas is one of my favorite games of all time. And I love Obsidian Entertainment as a gaming company.
So, is anyone else going to purchase their new RPG when it releases?
Being a stalwart New Vegas fan, I'm pretty much obligated to buy it 😄

An Obsidian take on what appears to be a hybrid between Borderlands, Bioshock, and Fallout? Count me in!

@Ark_the_Bonsai My thoughts exactly!

I can't say I'm that terribly excited, despite being a fan of F:NV.

Oh? Why is that?

I don't know, something about The Outer Worlds doesn't click with me. I don't feel too interested in it.

Well, considering that Obsidian made the game, you know the role playing elements will be very good.
Also, I've been playing around with a beta version character builder. There are many awesome ways to build your character. I'm going to be playing a super soldier (who is very powerful in combat) mixed with maxed out Science and Engineering skills. Of course, there are a lot of different areas to specialize in as well.
As long as the story, characters, and quests don't suck, it's a safe bet TOW will be a very good game.

I know Obsibian's a safe bet that it will be a very good game, it's just that I don't know if I will spend the time to play it.
Maybe I'll consider it if I see it on Sale, but right now I'm not that interested in it. Maybe it's because Fallout 4 burned me out of playing RPG games.

Maybe when it pops up on Steam.

Fallout 4 honestly wasn't a particularly good role playing game. But I understand your point.
Does that mean you're going to miss out on Cyberpunk 2077 as well?

I believe you can get it for PC with Xbox Battle Pass.

Maybe, there's a reason I got back to playing DBD after a couple of months hiatus. It's because I got sucked into the void that is Fallout 4's Modding Community 🙂

Oh, I hear you on that one. I almost got sucked into the Skyrim modding community.

Not interested in that.

That's okay. I saw that a number of people were excited by this so I thought I would mention it.
Still, TOW I think is still worth getting even if it's not on Steam yet😁

I am also excited for it. Just more patient than most. I'll wait for it to come to Steam before I get it.

Understandable. Making the game unavailable at release on Steam was a douche move.

Man I wish I could ;-;

That's my wallet after the Halloween Steam Sale.

@Boosted_Dwight I'm sorry to see that😢
But I hope you are able to get the game soon😊
In the mean time, you might consider planning out your character with the character builder. That way when you do get the game, you'll be able to jump right in knowing what your character will be like.

I am probably going to buy it. Does it have a set release date by now?
I can understand everyone who will not buy due to EGS but I have high hopes for gog 2.0 so I tend to not care about it that much anymore.

You mean GOG Galaxy 2.0?
I can't wait for that as well.

Yes. Looks great and from the forums there are some problems here and there but that is to be expected. I don't have any luck to get into the beta 😪

Same. I actually registered the day it was announced. Didn't get picked though :(

I will wait for it, gonna be good and btw me too.

Well I thought I was gonna wait but than I saw gameplay, bought it with no regrets. Great game runs butter smooth on 4k with everything on ultra. Bethesda should be ashamed atm not only for the 100$ falloutfirst crap but games do not have to be buggy af.
