"DC for faster games"
Is this a thing? I had a 4 man swf party last night that completely wrecked me while doing my Wraith daily. I have terrible perks/add-ons for him, and was trying my best to safety pip without playing like a d-bag.
Hooked everyone a few times, but no deaths. Eventually the exit gates get powered and I have someone on a hook. I leave to chase another injured player and not camp. 3 survivors escape and I cut off the last injured one at the gate, down him, and he instantly D/Cs.
I played fairly all game and he D/Cs. Needless to say I was pissed. I asked why he did it at the end game screen and he said "for faster games and I don't care about points". Well, I CARE ABOUT POINTS. To which he said "well that sucks for you".
It would have taken two seconds for me to hook the guy. I did report him for abusing game mechanics, but I know nothing will be done. Is this something that people are actually doing to "save time"? Stuff like this sucks the fun right out of the game sometimes :/

Sorry, his logic doesn't make sense to me but he's his own figure.
You just have to live with it. DCing to get faster games is pointless, progress is fun, DCing is not, short thing of the story? Can't do much about it and don't DC.

If I had to guess he just threw a tantrum. I've had party streamer games where people have disconnected before I can hook them a 3rd time. If it was me I would take the points and move on...

This guy doesn’t count that as a death, meaning he can tell his friends he’s on a 40 game escape streak

He did it so you don't get points for a hook in your ranking system.

I dont DC, but I do wish that when I die on the hook, I could skip the animation and go the aftermatch screen faster. Need to see if I pipped!
The animation can still play in game as normal

How did you ask him about the DC when he's DC'd?

Console, Could just message on xbox live or PSN. Not hard if you can see there name.

I've had survivors that DC'ed on PC still be there to taunt me in Post. Not sure how, but it's a thing.

survivors who DC are still in lobby if they stay, which makes it even weirder like why DC for a quicker game and then stay around anyways.

Yeah this is what happened. It was on PC. Pretty sure the guy just didn't want me to get points for hooking him but whatever. I understand rage d/c cuz sometimes this game or your teammates can be bs, but in this instance it just seemed like a ######### thing to do for no reason.
