Different perk for my gen protecting build
Hey guys so I have been doing a lot of Gen protector Plague and it's a lot of fun. These are the 4 perks I use:
Corrupt intervention
Overcharge
Pop goes the weasel
Hex: Ruin
I want to change Overcharge for a tracking perk such as discordance or surveillance but I don't know which one. Any opinions?

Personally I would use Surveillance. Depends on you though. Discordance is also good.
I would also remove either Corrupt or Ruin and replace it with Surge. Do not run Ruin and CI together. It's a bad idea. If you do use Surge and PGTW together Surveillance is the better perk to add in.

I would use "Surveillance", because it's a gen protector build after all.

Using Corrupt and Ruin together isn't great but using Pop and Surge is worse.

I agree I would not run CI and Ruin together; when they see CI, survivors have a tendency to look for totems instead and they can be much harder to find early on as a result, and cost you the Ruin prematurely. Use Surveillance over Discordance on Plague imo, I've run a very similar build with it and it is fantastic. It wouldn't be a bad idea to replace CI or Ruin with either another detection perk (Whispers, Spies) or possibly something to give her some edge in chase such as BS for clearing pallets rapidly, Enduring if you like swinging through pallets more often than not. Thanatophobia is another choice, this is a fantastic synergy on Plague- when they are sick, it forces them to either accept the penalty or use the fountains more quickly, and either way it works for you 😃!

I can dig that, but if I'm gen defending using both isn't a bad idea. Its not like the two don't stack. If I weren't going to use both, I would replace Surge with Thanatophobia for a little extra gen defense.

They don't stack. You can't kick a "surged" gen.
But they can indeed work together. People do gen tap after all... XD

@Okayado Thanataphobia with 4 stacks adds 12.8 seconds to 100% of the gen repair time. That is very underwhelming and I encourage Plague players to use perks that help her intimidate and threaten every survivor. That way they will be more likely to cleanse, and if they don't, then you punish then with instadowns

Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Dying Light and Thanatophobia is a very good gen protector build for Plague.

Imo CI encourage survivors to look for Ruin so I’d recommend not to use them together!
Discordance has always been a top tier perk imo, but good survivors won’t fall for it. They’ll call it out. Also, Discordance is better on mobile killers.
Surveillance is probably better for what you’re doing with Plague.
Take also Surge into consideration, and that Ghostface perk that blocks gens when you pick up someone - can’t remember its name for my life.

Who said anything about kicking a surged gen? You kick another gen. You have 60 seconds to use it on something else. Or like you said, gen tapping is a thing, so you can bust the good gen after they tap it - and survivors tend to tap gens that have good progress on them.
So I greatly disagree that Surge and Pop are a bad combo as someone else insinuated.

I personally would use Thrilling Tremors. Surveillance is good but Thrilling is better imo.

What a loss to the community, and he was our only big prominent Legion Main around here.
He was a nice guy for sure, but you know like me he's a little heavily-opinionated and doesn't mince words. He will be missed, though. It's a shame.

Using corrupt and ruin at the same time is bad idea. Switch ruin to anything and you will do much better.
