The game has initialized incorrectly

i keep getting an error where i cant open dbd. I've tried going to the steam folder, user data but i cant find 381210. I have not played in over 2 months.😕

    I'm sorry to hear that, here's some info i'd like to give you before directing you to someone that could 100% fix your issue.

    Some things you could try is this, you could go to your games folder on steam and do the following... You right click on dead by daylight in the games folder, than scroll down and click properties, once a new tab comes up you'll want to click on "Local Files" and than click the last option on that tab that says "Verify the Integrity of game files"

    Let the game verify the files, and try again.

    If this doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. You won't lose any progress towards your account since the account is saved on BHVR's systems and not steam itself.

    If even THAT doesn't work, i'll link you the support link so you can contact the support team. There, they'll help you with your issue and you should get back on track!
