Autodidact Plus Needle and Thread or Surgical Suture

I'm once again forcing Autodidact into my loadout. The best supplement I've found for it is the Green Key with Gold Token; that way I don't need to use another perk slot on Bond or Empathy. The other idea I'm testing out today is to run a medkit with needle and thread or a suture to see if the skill check frequency is affected, even though I'm not using a medkit to heal anyone. Has anyone else tried this? Did it seem to work?

I think it doesn't work because the add-ons apply properties only for healing with medkit. If it works then the healing speed ones would work also.
I'm feeling like the grammar on this is really wrong so sorry.

Yeah, good points. I was thinking more along the lines of an unintended increase in Skill Check frequency.
