Films which legitimately frightened you.

Notice I didn't just put horror as some folks may of found a film of another genre scary.

So, which films gave you really big creeps?

For me, two particular films left a lasting impact on me. I saw Jaws and Halloween around the age of 6. Despite being terrified of both as a child, they are and always have been my two favourite films.

Other films that creeped me out include The Dark Night Of The Scarecrow and Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (1973).

I was really little when I first saw “IT” so yeah, I was pretty scared.

I agree the prospect of being 'tested' is very unsettling to say the least. Whilst I enjoyed the backstory, there is a dark feeling of hopelessness with the Saw franchise.

The Final. It's a 2010 film about a bunch of bullied kids who kidnap their bullies and torture them. It terrifies me to this day and I watched it years ago.

Premonition (2007). It's a movie where a woman has a premonition of her husband's death and tries desperately to prevent it.

I was SUPER young at the time and the thought of knowing someone I'd love would die and not only being powerless to stop it but having to see it happen multiple times freaked me out. It also didn't help this was my first confrontation with the concept of death (I was really little).

    I couldn't sleep for like 3 days.
