A Very Late Withering Blight
As halloween rolls around, Dead by Daylights favorite holiday is introduced, the Blight events. With the delay of it, and possibly the event not occurring on halloween, the magic of it all will not be the same. Should we expect any compensation for the delays of this? Although this may sound somewhat stingy, I feel like it is deserved since console players miss out on all of it. Perhaps it can also be perceived as a halloween gift of sorts. Either way, the event will still be very appreciated.

Its a free event and update my guy. We don't need compensation for an update that was delayed because they don't even have to have an event. It comes out tomorrow also before Halloween so thats a plus.

You're right.
We should just cancel and hope for next year.

Better late than never, right?

So while i do agree it is free and stuff comes up. The problem is they set a day and the whole thing could have been avoided making the event it's own update then having the engine/midchapter update later. They kind of screwed a lot of people that had requested time off of work or such by saying they're delaying it a day before release. My personal feelings were i was super hyped about the event and archives stuff for weeks and was waiting for the release date only to see it was delayed. The hype for it has kinda died down a lot for me now but i'll still play it and have fun.

Well as the devs said, things come up and they can't expect game breaking bugs to arise. Im sure the update/event would have been just fine together if the bugs hadn't risen.

No i understand that completely. It's just they knew it was a big update so it might have been safer to separate the event from midchapter to prevent or lower the chance of these problems.

Maybe the compensation will be them never doing a blight event again to avoid people getting angry when issues occur shrug I can understand people being mad about the way they communicated it which I think is one skill they need improvement on but some of us here are acting like we paid for this event to happen or bought the game for solely this event.

Thats alao understandable

"Give me something for free, to make up for the free thing!"

I hope they let this spill out for a larger chunk of November. Doesn't hurt for halloween to be the beginning of a spooky event story thingy. It's unintentionally interesting.

I don't see how that's bad if only it was actually released on Halloween day

Not doing events is a good way to kill the game, Sure.
