Map Tricks for the Unknowing

From my time stumbling through the fog I have noticed some map details that may prove of use in the trials ahead. Feel free to share any of your discoveries.
General
- Blinking lights mean a generator is nearby, always. Also read the Steam achievement list for a list of generator locations. Work on these generators when you can't find others as they always spawn in the same place, roughly.
The Game
- The rooms adjacent to the exit gates have exit signs above the doors, use this to find the gates at the end. The basement is always by the bathroom which is a dead end. Stay away if you can.
Lery's Memorial Institute
- Like The Game the rooms adjacent to the exit gates have glowing red signs above the doorways. There are also glowing blue and yellow signs to indicate where the "treatment theatre" and the "library" are. There also colored symbols on the outermost walls to indicate two halves of the facility. Use these indicators well to keep your way in the maze of corridors.
Grim Pantry
- There are two floodgates on this map connected to generators atop both of the structures. The smaller shed's gate doesn't matter too much as it provides easier access to a chest and sometimes a totem. The large building's gate provides access to the basement if it spawns there so be wary of this.
The Pale Rose
- The crows on the big boat make a racket whenever anyone goes near the boat. The large boat also has vaults on certain railing spots for a quick escape. There's also a vault on the back of the little boat some people don't seem to know exists.
