Oxford dictionary of the word strategy
'a plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim'
Notice there is nothing concerning the effectiveness of the plan of action. Thus whatever a player decides as a course of action is their 'strategy'
You don't know the reasoning behind why a person gets face camped. It could be that gens are flying by and the killer wants 1 kill. Or the killer decides he doesnt like that particular cosmetic. Or he hates someone with Object of Obsession (guilty of tunneling those players with full knowledge im throwing the game).
You may not agree with the plan of action, but it is still the player's strategy.
And to be fair, many times a killer can camp and other survivors throw themselves at him trying to make a save. So saying camping doesn't work isn't always true. Especially around yellow/green ranks

Ok then please explain. I can already assure you you're wrong.

What is tunneling?
Creating an unfun and unfair game for a survivor because you choose to target only them, thus costing them bloodpoints, fun, and probably a black pip or maybe a depip, all because of how quickly they were taken out of the game.
What is genrushing?
Creating and unfun and unfair game for a killer because you choose to target only gens, thus costing them bloodpoints, fun, and almost certainly a depip, all because of how quickly they were taken out of the game
Tunneling is toxic because you know what you're doing
Genrushing is toxic because you know what you're doing
Tunneling and genrushing are the same thing for both sides. If one "doesn't exist" then neither does the other.
Recognize the double standard.

Well in spirit I see your point. Even though technically... They're different. I was just being an ass. Lol But yes they both only exist if the other does I can agree to.

Genrushing does exist, but in my experience, can't speak for anyone else, it is very uncommon and like tunneling often used incorrectly. If you camp at 4 gens, run after one survivor who you can't catch until 3-4 gens are popped, then you are not being genrushed, you have failed to pressure anyone but that one survivor. If you have 3-4 survivors with commodius toolboxes, bnp, and gen perks then yes, they intend to genrush, and that is fair game for you to mori, tunnel, or whatever you have to do to even the odds. Understand that all those strategies do occur whether survivors have a toolbox or not.

So you are saying survivors are supposed to not do the correct play and heal in bad times to make it easy for you, or else they are "genrushers"?

Expect when it happens to that extreme it puts any non mobile killer in an unwinnable state

I'm not here to argue actually, I just wanted to confirm something that I thought most killer mains think
0 -
Yes that is bullshit but you do admit there isn't a genrush playstyle then?
0 -
So you're saying that after everyone tests out new Hex: Ruined for few days we should all sit down and wait 40 minutes for the lobby?
0 -
I view gen rush as an extreme like you play a non mobile killer get a huge map with three or more toolboxes and they spawn on a gen it's not likely to happen but it does happen it's the equal to say a nurse, Billy or spirit using an ebony on say a smaller map i.e the game and just tunnelling one person out at a time

Think they thought that far ahead eh

I imagine this is a pipe dream, but perhaps its time for Killers to go on a world wide strike until the devs take a serious looks at balancing issues. How funny would it be to let survivors sit in que for an hour just to play one game? I DCd right at the start on a grp today that only waited 20min for the match and I swear youd have thought I ate their first born in front of them. I did just to test the reaction, but man it was visceral. Devs ignore us as players too much as it is, seems to me this might be a way to get their attention

Yeah, that is fair. But the term genrush is used by most people to name a survivors playstyle of playing the game without losing

I will make ghostface get a degree in engineering just for you bud

Keep expecting people to make mistakes in your matches or, as you named it, "play casually".
0 -
"No I think this game was designed casually (generator times and maps) and hasn't been adjusted for "sweatier" play."
Ok
