3.5.0 update
does anyone already know when the update is coming?

There is no official date for version 3.5.0 yet. Usually when a PTB is out, it lasts for about a week or so.
Afterwards, we usually get a post later on that the LIVE version of 3.5.0 is out now. So, unless a developer outright tells us, than there is no update on it until it's LIVE or a bit before it's LIVE.
So basically, we'll have to wait and see.

Usually a patch goes live about two weeks after a PTB starts. As mentioned, there is no official date yet, but Peanits has confirmed that it will be at least two weeks after the start of the PTB. The most likely-looking date is January 21, but that's speculation, not something that's been officially announced.

i read on leaksbydaylight on twitter that tome 2 comes out on january 22nd will the update come too?

A leak isn't an official date.
Peanits did say that it would come out 2 Weeks after the PTBs launch, so the 21st or 22nd.
But I wouldn't go off of leaks as official information next time.

But to answer the other half of that question, yes, the new Rift/Tome will be released at the same time as the mid-chapter patch. We just don't know precisely when that is yet.

Until a date is confirmed by us officially, no date is really known. It's all just guesswork and this leads to even more arguments within the community as we've seen before. We will announce when the mid chapter patch will be updated on Social Media as well as the Forums.
