Question: Do you think the next killer will be worse, equal to or better than the Clown?
I am asking this question because I have my doubts about the next killer, whatever it may be, being as good or better than the Clown.
I say this because the Clown is a very good killer in the right hands with his ability to counter looping and end chases quickly. On top of that the majority of his add-ons are really good and have good synergy with each other.
I really want the next killer to be really good ( obviously ) but, and I don't want to sound too dickish here, I feel the Clown was just one of those killer where we struck lucky.
But what do you guys think? Let me know!

Clown was ######### on the PTB until they removed his slowdown and increased the intoxication duration. Don't freak out when the new Killer isn't that great in the PTB, that might change sooner rather than later.7

What you said though about the slowdown they originally had for him I think that is what we have to look out for. If this killer has something that requires them to slowdown then that could be bad news. But yes they may also do some good changes if it needs them so I am just holding on to find out. There should be a PTB soon I think.

He is going to be a killer that will hand killers the win on a golden platter, because it is the quickest way to please the bad killers and make them feel like that accomplished something

Honestly, I am hoping for a unique concept and look. Not concerned if it high tier, low tier or Freddy tier. If it provides a unique playstyle, I am good with that.

I hope it will better than the clown but not as overpowered as the nurse. Dev's don't wanna put a new ''Nurse 2.0''

In high ranks, there are only billies and nurses and it is really boring to face the same 2 killers all the day.
I want the new killer to be more powerful than the clown. In fact, I want her to be as good as hillbilly because hillbilly is the only balanced killer in this game.

Okay I suppose I'll be honest when it comes down to the Clown. I honestly enjoyed the clown quite a bit. Thanks to him I can easily win a Chase and looping.
I'll keep in mind I'm on console and before any of you go running at the mouth we do have casual players on Console I am not one of them I play this game every day and all I can say about the new killer is
If it can't stop a chase as quickly as the clown doctor or hillbilly we're going to have a problem. Even if it's a tracking ability it better be good1 -

I feel the new killer should have an insta down attack but done in a unique way rather than just " hit this person under these circumstances to down them " I think having that kind of power with a dash of uniqueness would be cool.

I too am a console player, for me because Nurse is not as good on console as she is on PC Clown is kind of my version of Nurse, so I hope we get something along those lines too

Pretty much the nurse is in the bottom tier above pig, wraith, and Freddy.
Funny because it's rare to find good players that know how to utilize those killer.

I'd like to see a killer who freaks players out big time , like maybe the scarecrow from Jeepers Creepers or slenderman,, that game always made me jump when he came out of the shadows to get you , I love the hag's mori it's soooooooooo gross lol

like the ones from the movie Puppet Master , I dressed up as Blade one time sat on my sister's porch and when kids came for trick or treat I stood up real quick and scared them half to death lol

Personally I'm hoping the killer will be a lower-end high tier killer, so better than clown. Odds are though we will end up with something equal to the clown which I'm also fine with. As long as it's original I'm happy as it's more content to mess around with regardless.

It's unfair to make these sorts of snap judgements before a killer is even (properly) teased. We don't even know what the power will be, which really affects a killer's potential. The killer's playstyle will massively affect how players percieve the killer, both when played as and when played against. It's this sort of "unfun to play against" perspective that got Freddy nerfed, after all.
But if I had to make my decision on pure blind choice I expect an above average killer. Not Billy / Huntress / Nurse levels of amazing, but not Freddy / Wraith levels of awful. The two latest killers (Amanda and Kenneth) have both been fairly average on tier lists. They've felt fun to play as and play against. I'm very happy with the quality of the recent killer releases as of late. They haven't felt too strong nor too weak. They feel unique and fun in their own special way.
Honestly, even the survivor (perks) from the last two expansions have been great. While Kate and Tapp do have some stinker perks (Boil Over, Detective's Hunch - to be fair this isn't exclusive to the survivors cough Surveillance cough) their skills overall help cater to specific playstyles as opposed to just being "this is trash, this is meta" like some of the other DLC survivors. (cough Laurie Strode cough Decisive Strike cough)tl;dr I think the new killer and the new survivor will be fine.
That being said we had a killer / survivor based around objectives (Amanda's Traps, Tapp's objective finding skills) and a killer / survivor based around chases (Kenneth Chase, Kate's Window Finding and Scratch Mark Hiding). That encompases Boldness and Objectives.
So that leaves Altruism and Survival, methinks? Another killer with perks related to healing like Nurse?1 -

That being said, what companies usually do is to release something good so people buy it then nerf it later on due to (sometimes reasonable) complains.0 -

I have enjoyed all the killers they have released - even Freddy.
Clown is a decent killer and I thought the Pig before that was too. I'm sure the next one will be decent as well.I still think Myers is the best designed though - so many different ways to play him.

If the killer is a japanese female ghost/demon sporting a katana sword and a scary as hell face with a sliced up mouth and all that good horror stuff that comes with it.....Gotta be a top tier killer surely.

I honestly think that Clown is the best killer they have released since Nurse, I have not liked most of heir licensed killers and their OG killers have usually been average at best. I am hoping it will be at least as good as the Clown

Just looped a clown for 3 gens straight, sure he wasnt the best and did some mistakes, but actually I am a bad looper and only died because I made 2 mistakes too. And I didnt even abuse the big house loops
The gas is just too weak if you ask me

Yeah it sounds like it wasn't a good clown player, If a Clown knows his bottle placement he can be immensely destructive.

Hillbilly doesn't need to counter looping, since he doesn't have to walk across the map, ever. Huntress wants you to loop, since it's easy hatchet hits. lol
But Hillbilly is still affected by looping, and with Huntress there are lots of loops where Huntress cannot hit you with a hatchets such as The game, Badham pre-school, even Macmillan estate to some degree.
Clown is not affected by such things which makes him better IMO.
