Let's discuss the true detriment to this game

TOXIC KILLERS

I am a killer main but I sometimes play survivor because I have a group of friends. Sadly, our leader deleted the game months ago because of toxic killers. Of the remaining members, each one regularly quits and refuses to play for a couple days because of toxic killers.

I am a red ranks level 1 survivor. I played three days in a row last week and did not escape a single match any of the days. 4 hour sessions minimum each time.

Over and over we get killers who camp, tunnel, or my personal favorite, down someone while they're midair, being unhooked and rehooking them.

Now I'm a killer main. If someone saw me resorting to that kind of crap I would be SO EMBARRASSED. And so should they. Its cringeworthy. I want to say dude, ur embarrassing yourself. It's just a game, show some sportsmanship. This desperation to win at any cost makes you look like a sniveling weenie.

But the larger problem is that the devs support and encourage this behavior.

As a killer, I opposed nerfing self heal, decisive strike, mettle of a man, and instaheal. The game is designed to give killers a profound advantage and that's okay, but while I also oppose the hex ruin nerf, I'm appalled by how killers are reacting.

It's always survivors being nerfed because killers expect an easy 4k and if they don't get it, they bellyache. The one time a killer is unjustly nerfed, they're going on like killers can't have an advantage. It's hysterical. The killers have such an advantage that you must really suck if you don't see it.

I personally kill all four almost every game. As a survivor, I witness that most games the killers get 4k.

It should not be this way. A 4k game should be somewhat rare.

A master killer should have a 2.5 kill average. Normal players should have a 2 kill average. Survivors should have a 50/50 escape/die average.

But the devs are always making the worst possible changes. (don't get me started on Freddy) with hex ruin, all they needed to do was give it a 5 minute limit so on maps where it can't be found, the game isn't wasted.

When the devs nerfed decisive strike, the inadvertantly gave killers encouragement to tunnel.

Go ahead and down them while they're being pulled off the hook, they have protection now.

You shouldn't need to use a perk to avoid being tunneled off the hook.

That is exploiting game design.

Personally, I play a little different. Because I'm good, I don't hook anyone twice till everyone is hooked once. I don't kill until everyone is hooked twice. I don't expect others to do this, but I do expect killers to have a minimal amount of sportsmanship.

But now we have challenges.

I'll admit, I think the challenges should be a permanent addition to the game, but what they are needs control. Sacrifice all four survivors in the basement in the same match is begging killers to camp, tunnel, and play as dirty as they can.

But the devs always seem to be looking to please killers like survivors are just cannon fodder for them. And I am a killer main saying this.

First, moris need nerfing BIG TIME.

They should be incredibly rare and you should have to hook everyone once before you can use them.

As they are, time after time, killers hook someone right at the start, camp them, down them being unhooked and Mori them.

I've seen BPS matches where the one using BPS made 2000 BP because the killer pulled that shady crap.

As a killer, if people are dying before they make 10,000bp, you're a dirty, toxic killer.

In my experience, survivors don't mind dying in a fair game.

I'm frequently sent post game messages by people I've killed thanking me for my fairness.

Sometimes there's a whiny survivor, but USUALLY when survivors complain, they are justified.

Telling someone to "get gud" when you have downed them in midair while they're unhooked is absurd. Their skill never entered the equation.

Furthermore, the game is designed for the killer to always get the survivors eventually. It's inevitable.

I played as Michael for a daily.

He moved so fast it was ABSURD. Someone was running ahead of me and I caught up so fast that I actually felt gross downing them.

I didn't earn it. It was given to me by an unjust game. And don't get me started on his lunge. I can stab people so far away from me that it defies physics.

We used to be a group that played this game every day but around the time decisive strike was nerfed everything changed. Now toxic killers are constant. First the guy who got me into this game deleted it. Then other members started quitting after too many unjust killers.

Now we go days without playing. Half the time I say let's get on, I'm told "No, I'm not in the mood to deal with that [BAD WORD]".

And they're right. This game comes with a lot of [BAD WORD]. It's had a negative effect on my life in terms of how I view humanity. It's shown me just how scummy people are when they think no one is looking.

This is a GAME

THE GOAL IS FOR 5 PEOPLE TO WORK TOGETHER TO HAVE FUN.

As a killer, I get SWF matches all the time. I can't believe any killer would complain about that. I've even been gen rushed so fast I didn't see how it was possible. But that doesn't bother me. I can still get them because killers have the profound advantage.

Too much of an advantage.

The only fair killer in the game is the nurse.

The plague uses an add on that makes her able to down you in one hit within 3 seconds of infection.

That's [BAD WORD]

The trapper has an add-on that makes it take more than 13 tries to get out of a trap. That's not an advantage, it's a guaranteed hook.

Leatherface used to not be able to control his chainsaw so well. Now in one swing he can change directions, chase you around a corner, and well leatherfaces do not use sledgehammers anymore. They're a one hit down every game, every time.

It's too much.

Ghostface can mark you while you're looking him in the eye. It's absurd. I still don't know how to break it. I've tried him in center screen, a little up to the left, close, far, nothing does it. He's a one hit guaranteed down every time, too

I don't want to go thru all the killers.

Suffice it to say that what is needed is the devs to take a stand and acknowledge that camping and tunneling is shady AF there should be penalties.

If a level 1 survivor cannot survive a single match in 3 days, there is a problem.

That problem is toxic killers.

The funny thing is that they think they're badass but really.... Playing an op killer and using a Mori isn't badass.

Play the nurse with no perks and get 4k. THEN YOURE A BADASS

As a killer main, I'm telling you.

Other killers have ruined this game.

Then when I hear how they whine and moan if survivors escape, it really puts it into perspective for me.

They expect an easy 4k and if they don't get it, the game is flawed.

Sorry you lost me when you said 5 people have to work together to make the game fun.

And besides - A ghostface teabagging you as your slugged isn't as problematic as a game being able to be over in 3 minutes on the dot.

Well, matchmaking is broken. As long as killers have to play against survivors way above their skill level, they have to ressort to camping and tunneling, or they could just go to the basement and dont move at all.

It the skill difference is as high as it is at the moment, killers cant even get survivors, and when they finally do, the game is basicly over. Yes, i camp and tunnel in this circumstances too.

Fix rank and matchmaking, and not even a 6 ranks hardcap. A rank 10 killer shoulndt face a bunch of rank 4 survivors, i think a 3 rank gap should be the maximum.

Then, if killers play finally at their skill level, they dont need to use those tactics anymore.

Also, you play killer, your friends play survivor, play against each other. Problem also solved.

Also, why should killers show fair play and sportmanship? Survivors never do, quite the opposite.

If this isn't a Killer Poser I don't know what is.

So basically killers are not allowed to do their objective and they should just be nice to survivors and let them go.

I laughed my ass off at this, this has to be satire at it's finest.

At least, I hope it is.

People on this forum includes you, you know.

Unfortunately, for people like yourself, a "fun game" means "nerf everything I don't want to adapt to". That's not just a blind criticism, that's fact looking at your post history.

Don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't waste my time. I was just pointing out a flaw in your argument.

I still think solo survivor is a worse experience than killer, which is why I'm happy that killer queues are so fast right now on PS4. I do my one stupid survivor daily, someone disconnects as soon as the map finishes loading in, the killer camps the first survivor and then me, hitting me on the hook the whole time, and then sends a "gg" message after the game ends. Like, really? You need to mine for salt that bad that when I don't send you a message, you send me one to try to get a reaction?

Like, dude, if I actually wanted to play survivor, that might get to me, but... what a waste of your time. If he hadn't camped the hook I probably would've just suicided to get out of that 3v1, but if he's gonna stay at the hook then I'm gonna be annoying and stick around.

Personally, I kinda hope killers keep playing like that while survivors keep getting killers nerfed, that way everyone will stop playing and those of us who can't seem to break away will finally be set free. (that's sarcasm... mostly.)

Why is it always the one sided arguments her. There are far more toxic survivors than toxic killers. Though that is to be expected, there are far more survivors mains than killer mains. In game, individual survivors are less toxic, but swf groups are far worse than any killer.

Btw, at rank one, a killer is not going to face-camp, unless there is a very good reason for it. It is a complete waste of time otherwise. I find this story a little far fetched.
