I forgot that bhvr removed the ability of the killer take out a survivor when he is jumping on a damn hatch. This is a bullshit, survivors have a perk and itens that helps then find the hatch and if the killer close it they can just open the gates that already is quicker than before, and people say that survivor have no advantage on the killer? Survivors don't need to repair gens anymore, just wait to everybody die, isn't it Injustice? Bhvr need to fix it

Oh yeah, good old Hatch Standoffs, where both sides were too stubborn to give up, creating 45 minute wait times instead of just going into the next game. I remember those Killers who did not even want to hit me on a hook next to the Hatch, because they were scared that I will jump into the Hatch, when I was just not interested in doing a Stand-Off...

Nah, it is as fast as before. They changed it for a PTB, but reverted it.
Besides that, Killer has all advantage to find the Hatch, if it did not spawn before. Besides that, often enough Exit Gates are so close to each other that they can be patrolled, even so close that the Killer does not have to move to patrol them. Of course they can spawn that far apart that a Killer cannot patrol them, but this almost never happened to me.
And lets not forget: Hatch seems to spawn next to one of the Exits quite reliable, so yeah, all those Advantages Survivors have...

The EGC is literally designed so the game can't be held hostage at the end game, it's one of the very few actually good changes the devs have made with a high enough impact.

Was it? Everything that devs removing now is for a good reason only for survivors in my opinion, nerf ruin because they can't do a gen, nerf nurse because they don't know how easy is beat she, it's getting boring see killers getting nerfed.

I usually am not one to side with the devs - but honestly they are right on this one. The hatch opens, and you have, as a killer, all the tools to get there first. Movement speed, the ability to move freely without being threatened etc.

What about when chasing a survivor, also survivors have maps and perks to help then find it, the killer have only the ears

Freddy rework which made him a lot stronger. Nerf to healing and pallet density. Spirit was buffed multiple times after her first release on the PTB. And killers and maps have been designed more and more in a balanced way.
It doesn't all favor survivors.

You have ears, movement speed, and freedom of movement.
Now, I personally agree that if no gens have gotten done, the hatch shouldn't exist. At least one should get done. Especially once ruin is gone. Without ruin, there's no excuse not to get at least on gen done, I don't care how good the killer is and how potato the survivors are.
But finding the hatch...if you're not finding it first the majority of the time, there's an issue on your part.

Do you at least remember why did he got a rework??? Because survivors couldn't see him, it was literally what I heard and remember when devs said when he got the rework, at least they knew that if they just let him visible he was going to be a lot weaker and was going to stop selling his dlc

They reworked him because he was both unfun to play against and was considered to be one of the weakest killers in the game. Him not being invisible didn't make him weaker. It took him 7 seconds to put a survivor into the dream state anyways, giving survivors enough time to react. Not to mention that you could hear his Lullaby if you were in his terror radius.
He is so much stronger now since he has both good map pressure and good chase potential, the two most important aspects of a killer.

I already got a 4 k with him without perks and rank 8-2 when he didn't got a rework, but yeah, he is better now

The whole concept of the Hatch is the very unpleasant feature of the game. OP has it right, all the Hatch has done is make Survivors instead of prioritizing generators, powering the gates, to escape. They prioritize fighting over the Hatch when things start to go wrong. This means letting teammates die on hook, sabotage their game play by sandbagging, or notifying the killer where there team are.
The excuse: "Your goal is surviving - not doing gens"
It's even worse for the Killer, as when the Killer does well that game, deserving the 4k. He loses a pip to a black pip in Purple/Red ranks because the last survivor takes the hatch, or camps out a door till the Hatch is close. Then just gets the door because it takes too much time for Killers to get to both doors before the Survivor just opens it themselves.
Even if you get to the door as it opens, they still can just take a hit and receives a sprint boost out the door.

You don't respond to players abusing issues in the game by giving them free wins. It creates entitlement, and toxicity among the community while at the same time ruining the game for the player that actually did well and deserved the win. I would sooner recommend that when there is only one survivor left EGC will activate. Doesn't complete the rest of the generators, doesn't open the doors, just EGC starts. The last survivor has to complete the remaining generators, and open the door before being taken by the Entity or the Killer.

There is. It's called doing the objective before then. It's called saving your team so you have a better chance at completing your objective, and not relying solely on a free win mechanic to win. In a game where it's 1v4, then it should be expected the 4 people have to work together to each earn their win. Not just get lucky they were last to get the hook.

that means basicly only play swf. Random Survivors often disconnect when the killer finds them, or kill themself on the first hook.
Basicly, the game is over when the first survivor dies within a minute without a gen being done.
And thats not the killer doing good, its a survivor screwing his team, or a killer camping.
The hatch gives an incentive to keep the game running as survivor, because even if you fail, the last one still might get out. Sure, there are hatchcampers, but they are not as common as a lot of people claim, as well as those guys that do nothing at all during the game and then get the hatch undeserved.
So, without hatch games would go for about 2 minutes with random surivovrs, because one would kill himself/disconnect and the others would then too. Doesnt sound funny.

How did it create standoffs? I wasn't around for it. I keep seeing comments about that, but no explanation. Couldn't the killer just close the hatch and move on? Or was this before the endgame collapse.

Before the hatch could be closed, there were a LOT of times where a survivor and killer would just stare at each other at the hatch. If the killer hit the survivor, the survivor could jump through the hatch while the killers in the cooldown. If the survivor jumped through before the killer hit them, the killer could grab them

There'd be no stand off. Killer would just close the hatch. Removing the grab just means survivors can escape right in front of the killer now. Removing it just seemed dumb and unnecessary.

Sorry, but did you even read what I was saying? Now, this isn't an issue. It was BEFORE the hatch was able to to be closed that standoffs would happen. Now, standoffs aren't a thing

Why it was deleted? It was deleted before I started to play but it sounds interesting to me. Im very often victim of hatch camping by survivors and there is literaly nothing killer can do about it. Last surivor is waiting on hatch and even I find him I have no chance to hit him twice and even I do it he/she just crawl to hatch. There should be some counter-play to hatch camping by survivors.

No, there shouldn't be a counter play to hatch camping. If they find it before you then they should get out. The reason it was removed was because of hatch standoffs that lasted up to (in extreme cases) 45 minutes, and a normal one would be 20 minutes

EGC is great. However, I would like to see hatch grabbing come back for KEYS ONLY. You use a key in front of me and I can nab you, good. Non-key escapes, good for you. For keys, let me grab those cocky mofos again!

There should be definitely counterplay or whole hatch system should be reworked. It supports unsportsmanlike behavior on survivors side like camping hatch instead of going help team. While playing survivor I see this very often ==> 1 survivor is camping near hatch and waiting his team to die to free escape without any effort. Whole system should be reworked or delete hatch and instead power-up exit gates when 1 survivor left - last survivor should deserve escape by playing, by proving effort and not by camping hatch. Many ppl hate camping killers but camping survivors are definitely ok. There are 4 survivors, they should play like team and if someone is doing nothing and just waiting hatch, its not fair for rest of the team. Another option should be hatch related perk for killers like survivors have, maybe hatch open delay perk or aura reading perk.

Why punish the player doing well because someone else had a bad team? That doesn't make any sense to me at all. Your response is exactly the one sided mindset that is creating toxicity in the game and giving survivors to expect to win every round because they got bad teammates. That's not the case at all. If you end up with a bad team, and can't turn it around yourself, then you lose. It's how it's supposed to be. If you can't handle that, then yes. Get a SWF, or play Killer. Or as the director has told players - go play another game.

They should at least add hatch grabs for keys, that or remove keys entirely. It is really frustrating when a survivor is on the hatch tbagging even though you closed it and they just jump in cause you are actually powerless to stop them.

To be fair for someone with a bad team to turn it aroud survivors would need to be able to 1v1 the killer in every chase versus those of thw same skill level since we know right now all players will go down as its just a matter of time. This makes the balance actually worse.
As it's been stated many times before the hatch is there to simply end the game as its basically over so there is no need to prolong it with a survivor who can hide for 20m. It's not a punishment but a QOL feature so both parties can just move onto the next game.
The devs see a hatch escape and a killer getting three kills as a win for them. The hatch is basically the ast ditch attempt at a race for escape or kill before the egc hide and seek 2 mins.

I don't see maps much, and nobody uses Left Behind. The killer has a massive advantage for finding the hatch in 95% of matches, since they can freely move at regular speed to look for it.

I never said the survivor should be able to 1v1 the killer - at that point in the game there is not a single reason why the survivor should even win at that point. So EGC should start, and if the survivor tries to hide, they die to the entity.
All the hatch does is take points from the Killer (because he loses on sacrifice points, meaning he is forced to black pip in high ranks), and then reward players for not playing well - while at the same time punishing Killers who did play well.

It was in response to your comment regarding the sole survivor being able to turn it around themselves or they lose.
Without being able to 1v1 it isn't possible so this would imply the survivor should be able too if they are good enough versus any and all killers. Hence why I wrote would be bad for balance.
The mindset you seem to imply here is that a 4k should be granted to the killer in this scenario. Until you find this last survivor and kill them then you have not done the objective so why do you believe the egc should just start and basically grant you that kill? The door mechanic is more in favour of the killer so the hatch is the last resort in most games.
The hatch is a mechanic the devs decided on and has been part of the game since before its release to stop hostage situations and still make the game engaging for both sides. The game then switches your objective from protecting generators and hunting to finding the hatch or survivor before they can get out.
The game is not over till its over.
The lose of points is an issue with the emblems not the hatch mechanic itself as it has a legitimate purpose. What they need to do is reward the killer with a pip of it happens.

Thats funny how you cal it one sided. Because i actually play both sides. Not equally, i play Surivor about 60% of the time, and killer only 40%, but that has its ups and downs both ways.
Yet, i do play both sides, and i see both sides. but if a 3k as a killer with one lucky escape is "survivors win every round" to you, maybe its not my mindset thats single sided.

In most cases they wait on top of the hatch until you can see them jump in. Put the grab back in so they have more incentive to leave right when they find it instead of sticking around to tb the killer

It should be brought back just to deal with keys. You can’t do anything against them now. It wouldn’t bring back Hatch standoffs because the Survivor would either die to the EGC if they’re the last one left or the Killer would lose the last one or two gens. The Survivors could also bodyblock if they needed to.

it's 2 minutes if the killer isn't around anyone.
4 if they are. And if they want to try and guarantee kills with survivors staying in the game to try and rescue hooked survivors or just to farm survival points and bully the killer.
Either way, the game is still held hostage.
