Survivors D/C after being downed
I'll make a youtube compilation if I have to but its seriously annoying that EVERY MATCH I play as killer they just leave because they cant take the death.
The only way this wont bother me is if I get a bigger quitter bonus. I want 20k each D/C
Because if they stayed I would've had a perfect game every time. Its not fair that as the killer I have to loose out on gameplay and earning potential so give me the max of everything I could have done to anyone whom D/C
Does this happen so frequently to anyone else (PS4)
And how will you stop it because dc punishments wont cut it. 3 minutes wait for one dc is just weak.
Make them have to do the struggle animation with skillchecks on the main menu for 15 minutes before they can rejoin so they cant just afk outta it. Or better yet make them play a round of killer before they can rejoin to reduce survivor matchmaking

I agree with this - DC's are getting ridiculous any frequent just because a Survivor doesn't like that 'they were the first to go' or whatever. Or that they won a chase but found themselves caught again by pure chance across the map (had that happen a lot too). Or don't like that they couldn't win a chase because they couldn't 360-I'm-a-ghost-look-at-me straight through you (still think Killers should have collision physics; screw survs crying about being 'pinned' in a corner -- don't run into a corner).
I think Killer's should be compensated a full 5k -- the max that you are cut off from earning in categories usually (because 'boo the games would take too long without an earning cap to encourage ending the game instead of dragging it out for farming). 625 I think was what I got in my last DC game. Pathetic.

Give killer 1/4 of max bp for every dc. Make survivors look like fools when they dc. It can apply for both sides. If killer dc, all survivors get max bp, too. Then dc wouldnt be just a dc, it would be a free win and max bp.

DCs are way less common on PC since they announced that their will be a penalty. It used to be almost every match. I had a 45 seconds chase with a survivor today in the early game and downed them. They DC'd. I guess getting caught is unfair?
Maybe killers should be nerfed so they cannot injure survivors or down them or hook them. A flashlight across the map blinds them? I don't know what these survivors are thinking. Maybe they are 12 year olds or something

The point of DC penalties isn't to stop people from ever disconnecting. It's to punish the people that disconnect a lot, as the punishment grows larger if someone simply can't keep themselves from disconnecting multiple times a day.

I agree killer deserve a much better quitter bonus and a rank buff.
DC survivors should not be punished. Some killers are terribly annoying. If you don't have fun playing there is nothing bad in DC.
Remaining survivors should have also a bonus and gen buff for playing a more difficult game, proportional to the number of DC

So your logic is... that if the cowboys spend weeks getting ready for a game spend the time and effort playing and then the eagles dont like getting scored on they can leave and it hurts noone ?
Imagine every time you killed someone in Cod or apex the match disconnected...
If you cant see the problem let me que u in.
If you dont wait for your death because you are "annoyed"
The killer has more time to focus everyone else. The hook is never broken on the sac and can be used to kill everyone else, dozens of perks by both killer and survivor is affected negatively everyone loses thousands of points and the match goes terrible so all other 4 people involved waisted the 15 minute it took to get into the match along with all the items everyone brought.
People who D/C should have perma bans

for survivors, they should just make them auto struggle on hook if they have a bad rep of dcing during games. Perma ban everyone who d/c will kill the game. lol

I'm ok with that because I'd rather have a longer time to wait for a real match then waste time in a terrible one.
They really should just make offline bots to fight.

I dont DC on first down.
I'll DC when the server starts rubberbanding me, if the killer gets a wildly off hit(like, 10 feet away/through a pallet or window that was blatantly obvious), the server hiccuping by not giving me prompts(locker/vault/gate). I'm not going to stay in a game that is unfairly rewarding the killer. Literally, the only thing the killer can do gameplay wise for me to DC, is when the killer intentionally starts slugging with more than 2 gens left and is purposely not hooking people(not using IFF). Nor will I stay in games where other survivors are farming/sandbagging each other. If the killer wants to farm, i'm doing gens and leaving.
Using DS/Unbreakable for me breaks a lot of immersion... So does not being able to heal myself with a medkit while slugged or using the key on the hatch while slugged.
Its not about pipping, rank, or even surviving(since you don't have to survive to pip). It's about quality of games. There are both sides of the game that are abusing things they shouldn't. There are still hacks and people who cheat at the game.
Also, this game doesn't have the proper pbase to issue anything more than a few minute bans. This is not COD with 100,000+ players. Finding games as killer is already a pain. Increasing DC bonus, adding distance crawled bp, time down, bleeding out, etc then it would be marginally tolerable. At least do this buff for solo players, since they are the more likely to DC because they aren't earning anything and its not worth while to stay.

I disagree with a fair amount but I understand what your saying
I'm on ps4 so my experience is flipped. Killer games are instant match while survivors are 20+minutes
Slugging last two has to happen because of the free hatch system.
I had a match yesterday where survivors were toxic af all match and they dc when I hooked them so I cant get a kill and the last guy jumped hatch and told me how I lost the match because of it.

Wish they'd bring back the penalties.. Wonder if they ever will. I had three or four games in a row with super early game disconnects the other day. Ranges from "Oh, I went down first, let me disconnect" to "Oh the gates are open and I'm going on my final hook, let me disconnect"
Literally is no reason for actions like that.
Heck, one thing they could do, if someone disconnects, leave the body in the game. Just a husk. You can hit/down/sacrifice it. Don't make the body disappear entirely. (So basically, treat the disconnected player's body as an AFK player, with crows and all)

They shouldn't, but they will probably do it anyway. Why you may ask ?
1) Split off between perspectives. Ranging from dedicated grabs to dedicated hits.
2) Glitches, exploits and bugs that prevent you from playing the game. I clearly don't know why you would stay in a game where you got stuck inside a pallet or an obstacle, or things like the Cursed Cabin exploit, basement bug to name but a few.
3) Balancing issues. Whilst it's clearly a mess to balance out an asymetrical game, there are obvious issues that have not been adressed to this date. Gen issues, Infinites, Bloodlust, Maps in general, and so forth.
At the end of the day you can't see Dead by Daylight as a competitive game whatsoever thus you shouldn't penalise people that only take the fun factor into consideration. It's a casual game with its flaws, and while it remains so, the DC penalty is clearly overkill especially when survivors can avoid it pretty easily.

True, but that's why there were escalating penalties. First time was like a minute? If you get bugs glitches and exploits that often, you might want to either update your computer, or play something else.
And yeah I can understand that sometimes hits are bullshit, with dedicated servers, but they've always been bullshit, it's nothing new. Disconnecting because of that means you need to grow a thicker skin, or again, play something else. It's part of the game, it sucks, but as you pointed out, it's not a competitive game, so why should one person disconnecting because they're not having fun for some reason or another penalize the other 4 people playing in the same match, thus ruining THEIR fun?

Each factor I listed are not to be taken apart from each other since the DC penalty wouldn't make a difference, but believe it or not bugs are a common occurence that takes its roots from the coding of the game, not from the client itself. Not being able to blind Hag, being chain burned as Wraith, lunge of Spirit and Wraith being broken, I could keep up all day.
It doesn't make sense when you take it from afar, ruining everybody's fun for bullshit that happened to you, but that can trigger a strong emotionnal response that you can't even blame on yourself, you got tricked by the game itself, so "f**k this game". I personally almost never DCed knowing that Dedicated Servers were still a work in progress, but I can understand why people would do that, as long as they don't queue up like 5 seconds later. But come on, 6 hours ban ? On a casual game ?
Real talk, I recently got burned out of the game, when you are in a tense match and you still manage to measure almost every single aspect of your gameplay but the game comes up with a different outcome than what you assumed because you simply got robbed by latency/bugs ( Talking from both perspectives, but mostly from survivor's side at this point ) makes me question myself about the time I spent learning the game, and it's something I don't want to feel about a game anymore.

MHm true.. I guess I don't play enough or don't pay attention enough to these things for them to bother me.
But yeah.. only times I ever disconnected as survivor was when I got tunneled off hook 3 times in a row, and it was obvious, like 3 survivors to pick from, me being behind everyone else, and he still made a beeline for me. So I disconnected, ######### that #########.
But on killer, even if the survivors are being toxic dicks, I'll just play along and do my best to outsmart them. Or just don't try as hard, and let them finish the generators, then if they take forever to open the gates, I'll open one of them myself and just wait for them to leave, or chase them out the gate.

If someone dcs and its obvious that was not an accident (sniped with chainsaw, missing ds, screwing up pallet) said person is added to mori list and the rest gets 2 hooks and escape if they don't annoy me with tbag.
Follow them on steam so you still can see them on list, even if they change name.
Enjoy.
Edit: Killers dcing isn't a problem really, because survivors just win. One survivor dcing early basically means the other 3 are dead. I mean, i'm fine with all dcs beeing punished in some way (both killer and survivor) but i just think dcing as survivor or killing self on hook is beeing toxic to other survivors.
He camps? Good stay on hook and let others leave him with one hook and 0 points. By giving up you actively help camping pussy to win.
