Why do we have to wait to see a killers load out?

Sometimes I just potato myself into a quick death.

But I do enjoy seeing what they have, why do we have to wait? Is it because of telling other survivors?

I guess I'm just answering my own question, I'm hitting submit anyways.

Indeed it is because of telling other survivors. In the past, SWF groups or just all-out salty and spiteful losers would dob and tell who’s left about the Killer’s loadout so they can completely circumvent and avoid some perks. Blood Warden was one of the worst offenders because they’d just disconnect when they get caught after the gates were open.

Ya as I was writing it I clued myself in. I just run solo so the thought never even occurred to me until I asked myself what harm it could do.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a modified version of this tbh. Maybe if you came into the lobby as a solo queue, you could see the Perks the Killer was running. I know this helped me a TON when I was a new player, just seeing the most common Perks, and especially when I had a question about something happening in the match.

There's ways to abuse this though of course, friend from wherever in the match too, you just happened to load into the same match as them. Then you message them of course. I just think that new players, who aren't going to stick around when they die, should at least know what took them out instead of having to wait until the end.

There were a few times in my first couple dozen matches that I honestly thought the Killer was cheating, until I looked at their perks + add-ons and went "Ohhhhhh. Well that's a neat Perk/add-on. I have to remember that when playing against X Killer."

I think they could add it back with something like a "match history" tab that has the results screen of previous matches and also tells you what the map was. Maybe it refreshes every day so it doesn't become overflowed.
