Ruin was not necessary to win, why so much fuss?
Trying to play without ruin, I realized that my games are not affected, ruin is unnecessary to have a good game, the trick is knowing how to keep up the pressure if you can't "win" without ruin I'm afraid you have to practice as a killer

ruin was needed to win in some games, like large maps for example, also ruin allowed killers to play NICE, I.E no tunnel, mass slug, camp. try to get 3 hooks on each person. etc. to make the game fun for everyone. you can't be in 4 places at once so this "just keep up the pressure" is a statement that has NO MEANING because of that

Nurse,Spirit and Billy are the only killers who can apply real pressure,M1 killers are gonna have a hard time without ruin.

You are correct, as long as the Survivors mess around enough and you are playing a decent Killer Ruin is not "needed".
Ruin still allowed you a little bit of breathing space when playing the role seen as more stress heavy by most of the community so it was quite good when it lasted.
Y'know, not being forced to conclude chases in 5 seconds was nice as is not always possible depending on how good the Survivor in the 1v1 situation is.

Red Rank 4k without ruin= potatoes who for some reason aren't working on gens.

you have to know when to chase a murderer or not when to hang when a generator snores when to follow a south you as a quiller you have to dominate the game not to follow the game of the survivor, yevare maybe 50 games without ruin with palage, legion, doctor and ghost face in green and purple ranges it opens lost as 10 games for letting me coax by the games of the survivors it is simple to maintain the pressure is easy if inporting the map how difficult it is to know when you are doing it right

Most games match me with red ranks. I don't feel that they are much worse than purple or green ones.

It's honestly hard to believe that you, as a Green-Purple rank Killer as you claim (assuming I understood that part correctly) are actually matched against Green-Purple Survivors lmao

it is not my fault that you are not good enough is my opinion. I win 90% of games without ruin against high ranks and only one year of play

the ranching is broken so this does not have much to do with me and I found very red and green ranges very good I do not say that they are the same only that there is no great increase in difficulty

Ruin wasn't necessary to win but it was necessary if you want to reduce the chances of the killer playing in an unfun manner for survivors. Expect a lot more tunneling, camping to secure kills and other unfun strategies to compensate for lack of Ruin.
BHVR should have reduced the size of larger maps and balanced out broken loops before nerfing Ruin quite honestly. Didn't need a Ruin nerf to say god windows are broken and unfun to play against but I guess only the survivors fun matters. Granted I believe a Ruin nerf would and should eventually happen but not before the rest of the game was balanced.

I have never used these dirty strategies, but it is true that the lack of ruin will increase them in other killers.

Lower ranks can have a voice too you elitist. All that red ranks really means is that you've devoted enough time, and done enough within your games to not get tunnelled, camped or mori'd out of pipping so you can rank up.
It's more about time and overall sweatiness than an actual measure of skill.
And you want an easy 4k in Red without Ruin? Insta-saw Billy with NoED. There. Done. Now just add PGTW, Thrilling Tremors and Corrupt Intervention. You have now got the ability to block all the generators and instantly down people constantly, so you don't have to worry about loops. All it'll cost you is all measures of respect, from both you AND everyone in the community! Small price to pay though, am I right?

rank 7 for now I play legion, plague, doctor, gost face, sometimes I trap a survivor as I see it necessary sometimes I leave one on the ground to stop working, give me another time to hunt another attempt to press on certain engines so that they join those I want by A donation on the map I dream to have many pallets thrown at the beginning and many more mini strategies

I usually carry barbecue and vocation, the rest depends on killer
edit: for example with supervision directed by the legion, with gost I am all ears, plague tanatofovia and corupta of interruption

I'll be the first to admit I play like an (Mean Person because swear words) in red ranks as killer but I never used Ruin aside from Tombstone Myers. The reality is a lot of people are going to start playing like me just to break even assuming they play M1 killers like I do. I don't play sweaty at all but I don't play with the survivors having fun in mind at all (At least not anymore). That's just how the game is. We'll see how it plays out when the changes go live anyways.

Yeah there are quite a few potato survivors on red ranks. However if you want to ignore them for balancing purposes then you have to ignore red rank potato killers as well.
All the people I watch that I really enjoy watching playing killer and I think are amazing killers don't use Ruin (nor NOED) and do very well at red ranks, some even with killers not considered top tier, nor do they play scummy (otherwise I wouldn't watch).

One thing is to knock everyone down to bleed or hang and another is to prevent them from repairing by pulling one and getting distracted in lifting it.
also this is in case they do gem rush

Try to play a M1 Killer without no gen stopping perks, not one, on red ranks on a big map, you'll see why.

All of the meta survivor perks aren't necessary to win. Let's nerf decisive strike really hard and see how survivors like it. 😋

Because the modern gamer is incapable of adapting playstyles and is incredibly entitled.
You should see some of the visceral meltdowns over gun balances in FPS games. It's really quite pathetic how man people get.

It obviously isn't necessary and the backlash was a bit crazier than it needed to be but it was the best early game pressure perk that a lot of killers relied on.

Ruin in it's current state is actually the best tool Survivors have oddly enough. Shove of hands If Ruin helped you get better at hitting great skill checks.
