BHVR u better not touch Billy
I'm about to hit 4k hours in dbd. I was a long time supporter since its release and went through all of it.
U already made me nearly quit playing killer after this unreasonable nurse basekit nerf. If you are going to touch Billy in any way, I will quit playing killer and I will quit supporting u guys with my money.
I have to mention this because I see many baby survivors are trying to hit on Billy recently.
Seriously BHVR. Before making a move and try comforting babies who will quit your game with the next call of duty release anyway, you should take the words of us veteran players serious. I closed my eyes after many many VERY questionable decisions from you. Nerfing Billy will not make me close my eyes again, I will just move to something else.

Unfortunately, they will most likely mess around with hillbilly. Although they said they were going to look into billy's addons, they will probably make "slight" adjustments to his basekit knowing them. I predict that they're going to add a cooldown to his chainsaw. I really hope I'm wrong.

I don't even play hillbilly and I don't think his basekit should be nerfed.
As for add-ons, who cares? He doesn't need them to be strong imo.

They have already had 4000 hours out of you and all your cash.
They don't need you anymore. You are a canker that has been milked dry. They accept that people get frustrated after a while and move on to play Civilization
They are more interested in the new blood who will play 4000 hours starting today.

I haven't bought ghostface and Freddy for example, and cosmetics are always something which gets added and I'm not blindly rushing it like others.

I don't understand why people are throwing hissy fits over the game finally getting balanced after all these years? Hillbilly needs a looking, same as mori's, same as Iridescent heads, same as ruin, same as instaheals, same as mettle of man, same as d-strike and on and on and on. You made your beds crying about survivor nerfs years ago, your finally getting what you asked for. Balance. So stop complaining about it and let it happen.

I think it will just be a nerf to instasaw addons and a cooldown on his ability.
And probably a longer stun from missing his chainsaw, a reduction in sprint speed and he'll have to collect fuel from lockers.
And they'll remove his instadown.
But other than that he'll barely be touched.

Why is everything being framed in this way? Why are people giving their 2 cents on balance always being referred to as babies and told to “git gud”.
Its getting pretty toxic. Everyone is entitled to give their opinions. The best thing you could do is give your arguments as to why whatever they’re complaining about is balanced, rather than trying to shoot down the argument and never give reasons why.

As much as I agree with you, this sadly won't matter. BHVR have shown their hand, right now their plan is to make the game very approachable but shallow. They want a revolving door of new players to buy the game, some DLC, maybe a battlepass or some cosmetics and they don't care for player retention.

Because that is what BHVR did with the recent ruin nerf, comforting babies who are unable to hit great skillchecks.
You can explain alot about the game and try to make babies understand however, this baby will be replaced with the next one and you have to do it again. At some point people do not bother to explain anything anymore because babies you know, google is a thing.

Personally it think billy is a balanced killer. I am a full time survivor main and love playing against Him and think he very fair and has high skill gap.

BHVR has an excellent track record of ruining things they do well. Billy mains better have Civilization installed.

Like Nurse right? Just her addons. Then, a while later they said "slightly changing basekit". And Now, nurse became a dead killer. Hardly played by anyone in red ranks and usually will just get destroyed if a poor soul choose to play her.

If I was them the next "Nerf" would be to leather face's ability to camp, and then buff him overall in many other aspects. Right now there are people who literally do nothing but play him and camp, they do -nothing- else.

Far from it actually. She saw a huge decrease in pick rate, and I've heard from a few long time Nurse mains she just isn't as powerful or fun as she once was. Going from BHVR's borked stats, Freddy is actually the best killer, but take the stats with a huge grain of salt.

They octupuled the difficulty of learning her with that brutal nerf, she's pretty unplayable now and the nurse mains I know quit

He needs a change to his add ons so he can’t rush about so quickly. It’s not fun for new survivors and gives him too much map pressure. Devs said on twitters he’s on their list of over performing killers.

I mean, noone enjoys playing her. Nurse mains say she became super unfun and frustrating. Stats show her pick and kill rate extremely low. And MY experience is that I destroyed every single nurse with ez by holding W.
U think ur "Nurse still best killer" sentence copy pasted from others will change anything I mentioned above? Spoiler: it doesn't.

Can we stop with this statement pls? New survivors should verse new killers. New killers won't be automatically skillful just because they use addons. Give a fresh Billy player instasaw and watch how he struggles and bumps into stuff after 1 second releasing the chainsaw.
The issue is matchmaking and not "new players". Match new players with new players and addons won't make any difference. It's about high level were we balance and low level automatically becomes balanced by itself.

Umm not sure you should frame it as an ultimatum. That's definitely not going to work. I agree that Billy should not be touched. Maybe rework the rarity of his addons to be more in line with newer killers. But that's it.

It will go something like this.
"We have found that Hillbilly was frustrating to play against for new players due to his excellent map pressure and chainsaw strike so we have decided to make some changes to his kit to bring him more in line with other killers while maintaining the playstyle of everyones favorite chainsawing killer :).
Hillybilly's chainsaw movement speed will be increased slightly, but will only be able to travel a fixed distance with a slight cooldown which can be increased with addons. We felt Hillybilly being able to cross the entire map with his chainsaw sprint allowed for him to start and end chases too quickly for most survivors to handle. With this change he will still maintain his sprint in chases, but limit his snowball potential and map pressure.
Hillbilly's chainsaw attack will no longer put survivors in the dying state, instead inflicting them with broken and recieving mangled, hemorrhaged, and reduced repair rate status effects lasting for 120 seconds. Due to now applying these powerful status effects by default, Hillbilly's cooldown on hitting and missing survivors will be substantially increased. This can be reduced by addons.
Hillbilly Chainsaw Sprint distance: 15m
Chainsaw cooldown to sprint: 3 seconds
Chainsaw stun on collision: 5 seconds
Chainsaw cooldown on hitting a survivor: 3 seconds
Overall this rework of Hillbilly will allow him to maintain pressure while also providing the survivors with a less frustrating experience. See you in the Fog."

They got the new kids money. Let them leave. They won't shell out 200$ to catch up to where we are. Not to mention the veteran supporters pay for most new things because they, get this, SUPPORT THE DEVS.
