From Rank 1 Killer to Rank 10
Hey Guys,
so I took a break from DBD since Legion came out and I restarted playing 14 days ago. I went from Rank 17 to rank 1 in about 4 days by playing Pig, Wraith and myers. It was a good time playing until there and then the toxicity spreaded all over my face. Tbagging meta SWF squads everywhere (BT, DS,Adre,and an exaustion perk mostly DH) i dont mind these perks but they are heavyly abusable. if i hook someone and he gets unhooked he is supposed to heal up and not follow me arround for 45 seconds, knowing it would be only a waste of time chasing him bc of DS.
So back to topic: i lost some games, was rank 4 again and decided to play it easy some more games so i could be rank 10 after the reset. And somehow nothing changed. Im a Rank 10 killer atm and get matched with red rank survivors most of the time. nothing changed for me. so I have to ask how much these poor souls that are actual rank 10 killers have to suffer?
Some notes about my builds: I dont use Ruin or Noed. I dont really like he perks bc they get cleansed anyways. So My wraith has a build where he can decloak when destroying a pallet and is good in chasing ( Enduring spirit fury and brutal strength) my Myers uses this play with your food perk, dying light, monitor and spirits obsession perk. And my Pig has whispers, monitor, Nurses calling and BBQ. I play fair, dont tunnel or camp. But god damn survivors are playing so offensively i sometimes i wish it would be benefitial to me if i would. I hook someone and 2 people rush for the unhook and if i catch one of them the unhooked person stays in range to abuse DS. What am i supposed to do? if i lose i get toxic messages like gg ez noob killer etc. if i win because they did really bad i get toxic messages as well. on ps4 they can go to your profile and quickly follow,unfollow you so you get a notification all the time until you block someone. this tech is used by SWF when the first person dies. you get spammed with follows/defollows until the game is over.
I cant stand this anymore. I played survivor the last 3 days to get a break from killer. i never played this role much, but after 3 days or so im a rank 7 survivor without ever losing a pip. I do a gen, if someone gets hooked i try to help, if the killer camps i take a hit etc. I barely know the totem spots but many of them are so bad it doesnt matter. And if you do this litte and then get facecamped you still get a blank pip. It is so unbeliaveble easy as survivor i cant beleave it. I play my old build with urban evasion self care sprint burst and BT. How is this mess balanced and what can I do to have Fun again? I dont play Civilisation.
PS: GGs to all non toxic people who play this game, you are the minority.

You summed up a lot of the games balance and ranking issues quite well in your experiences lol
The different experiences between playing killer and survivor at high rank are so polarizing.

Well one side is 1 V 4 and the other side is 4 V 1.
I don't use my brain at all when I'm playing survivor, I don't have to think of everyone's movements as much and if my actions can cost me the match compared to Killer where you can really feel that missing one lunge is like throwing the game altogether.

Yeah you can play pretty sub par on survivor, not pay attention and mess up a lot but still at least pip and a lot of the time survive.
As killer you can feel that one misplay and it just cost you the entire game. Pips, kills and all. You don't have lots of second chances and redo's.

its totally fine according logic survivors must have fun in their matches, and killer yeah you need to make matches fun for them as well, but yeah you pretty much summed it up really nicely..

Tl;dr: Survivors are toxic (duh), OP mad at the fact that he can't effectively have a smurf account for ez wins.

Well smurfing wouldnt be a problem on ps4 i only want games where i can actually punish toxic bad words. But gg for trying

Yes this is why the kill rate is 70%. Definitely.

That is not the overall kill rate, first of all. That was Freddy's specifically.
Secondly, those kill stats are highly skewed by a multitude of factors to where they're near worthless in terms of determining balance, which is why the devs stated to not draw any conclusions from them.

The overall rate is pretty close. Fact is, killers have no stats to back their argument. Survivors do.

Stats are worthless in this game. Too many random factors so they're not accurate at all.
