Is it me or is noed becoming a problem

I've been playing dbd for around 800hrs and only quite recently have I been experiencing hella noed killers. It punishes decent survivors, while rewarding ass-teir killer play. I play killer/survivor about 50/50, and I can say that from both perspectives it seems very unfair. I just wanna know what everyone else thinks on the topic.

NOED is a misdesign. It will always be, cause devs will never touch it, dont know why.

It's a hex so if survivors would focus on totems as well it would be no problem. I always look for totems between gens but sadly very few have been doing that. I noticed people started to pay more attention to totems since the updates tho'.

What did you expect? NOED is now the best hex perk.

There's a very clear counter to NOED and if survivors aren't clearing totems, that's a survivor problem. Clearing totems is something I do as soon as I see one. Became second nature after the first few matches.

I appreciate the different opinions, makes me look at it a different way.

The domino effect started a while ago... After nurse it turned to spirit after spirit people are now advocating for a Freddy nerf and Ghostface nerf and now for some reason I've been seeing more posts about Hillbilly.

To be fair though, NoED has always been a hot topic on here.

The NOED Bloodwarden combo is brutal, kinda like survivors who save stuff like DS+deliverence for endgame can be pretty brutal. Fortunately, you can always do bones...

The only "Problem" with NOED is the fact it's very hard to keep track of totems outside of SWF.

There should be a way to track how many totems are left.

I've seen MANY ideas how to implement this such as Small Game getting a counter next to it, the counter being base-kit similar to how you can see how many generators are left, a thunder sound playing when the last totem is cleansed (Similar to when an active hex is cleansed), a little shrine in the basement which could have 5 candles which are extinguished with each totem cleansed, making the "Clunk!" noise when a dull totem is cleansed map-wide so survivors have to mentally keep track, etc.

NOED is fine, it's just the fact it's hard to tell if you've found all the totems when playing solo that's frustrating. I've had times where I cleansed 4 dulls, couldn't find the 5th, assumed another survivor must have found it, only to get clapped by NOED. I run Detective's Hunch and it's an excellent anti-totem perk.

Either way I don't think NOED is overpowered. Cheesy and frustrating, sure, but there's plenty of more obnoxious stuff in DBD. Just make it easier to tell when you've got all the totems. I'm probably one of the few survivors who goes out of their way to cleanse dulls (BP, lightbringer emblem points, etc.) and it does feel like other survivors are ignoring dulls.

I love how with NOED its always the survivors fault. “Just cleanse totems”.

Yeah because adding what is essentially an extra generators worth of time to stop the killer from whizzing about with unlimited instadowns at a time when when there are very few pallets left on the map is a reasonable counter.

However when a killer complains about DS, advise them to stop tunneling and its like you’ve asked them to do the impossible.

Exactly this. Swf shouldn't be cheese proof while solos sit suffering once more.

It's rampant in red rank Oce atm, I can say that. But there are other problems.

It is a nice reward for doing the objective optimally, though, right? ;)

I guarantee you if killers had something they could break to remove some of the more annoying survivor perks before they can proc, they would.

NOED punishes survivors who ignore totems. Which are bad survivors. Period. But go ahead, ask for another nerf. Spoiled sack of #########.

NOED will get a rework because cleansing totems is too difficult for new survivors...

I try to keep track of whatever perks I can. Perks like thana, sloppy butcher and ruin...it tells ya the killer has it pretty easily. If I can identify all 4 killer perks, I can rule out NOED. If I cant identify a perk...time to take those totems seriously.

I run Inner strength as it makes me subconsciously look for totems more and helps with remembering the spawn points.

Detectives hunch is also good as and anti NOED build as it will eventually show all the totem spots as you work around the map doing gens. Each gen done shows totems within 64m so helps to do those bones more easily.

Noed isn't a problem unless you let it be a problem.

That would take way to much effort and scare baby survivors away :(.

There's a clear counter to noed same as there was for ruin but survivors can't stand any difficulty for their side whatsoever so begging for nerfs incoming

Same could be said for Ruin, but devs destroyed that. NOED could be next.

Seen NOED maybe twice in 20 or more survivor games this past weekend. Not becoming a problem. The problem is when I cleans 4 totems, while still participating in gens, rescues, and chases, but NOED pops up at the end of the match because nobody else did one freaking totem.

Luckily, DH showed me the nasty lil bug of a totem and I was able to eliminate it. Cleanse totems!!

Wait...no, don't cleans totems. That way my You Can't Leave build still works. :)

Cleanse the totems, there are only 5 and super easy to find. If a killer has NOED and actually gets to use it, then it's the survivors fault they can actually counter NOED.
