How did you become a killer main?
Me personally I got the game on PS4 when it was free and due to lack of killers I had to take on the burden of being one but I still managed to get a few survivor games.
I then brought the game on xbox one once again buying the movie characters and at this point survivor queues appeared to be taking longer than ps4 so once again I segregated myself to killer. I wish I could play survivor but no I am one of those who can't seem to find survivor matches consistently no matter the platform or year the end.

I've been a horror film fan since I was very little, the first Horror I seen was when I was 4 years old. It was the original Scream movie. My favorite slasher had always been Nightmare on Elm Street, because it was a dream based killer. I first heard of DBD when they first got Nightmare on Elm Street, and followed the game since then watching streamers, and youtube videos of updates and content. Finally got a PC that could run the game during the Stranger Things release. Then I did - wayyyy to much work learning a game to be good at Killer. Started playing Survivor some, found it way too easy. Then joined the Reddit and Forum communities.
Now here I am. 🙋♂️

I am currently seeing a psychologist as I have uncontrollable urges (as yet unacted upon) to commit violent acts.
As part of a new type of therapy rather than try to subdue those urges it is felt it may be beneficial to expel them in a controlled environment. I tried a few violent games but Dbd proved to be the most beneficial. So far.
Although don't ask me about the time I came across a coxcombed clapped in real life. Game and reality became blurred. Even though I thought I was invisible fortunately everyone else could see me coming and so luckily no-one got hurt.

Survivor is boring for me the only part I like about it is being chased

I've been a 4v1 fan since I picked up Damned on steam back in 2012. Saw this game launch in 2016, bought it and started playing killer. Been a killer main ever since.

I became a killer main when playing killer was fun. We had a functioning sound system, DS was not as crutch and had counterplay, Ruin helped slowing down the game, Nurse was fun to play (excluding addons), no dedicated servers cucking my killer-power.
Now all of this is gone ...

Easy. I got tired of playing just only survivor. So I decided to play killer too. That's how I became a Killer Main 50% of the time.

Love horror films and games, i bought around stranger things chapter and I played the demo for ages until i decided to buy ghostface. Its more fun as a killer apart from the impossible loops and endless gen rushing

I played a bunch of games as Survivor first. I had fun. I did not escape. I tried Killer. I saw all the tools they have, and I realized why I had trouble escaping. Then after a few more games, I just found I was having more fun as Killer.
Though I still play about 30% Survivor games.

Honestly: queue times.
If it wasn't for queue times I would play 50/50, but right now I have to play killer if I want to actually play.

I enjoy(ed) swallowing large quantities of stress sprinkled with salt. I'm just your average Survivor now, leaving you to die on hook while I escape alone :)

I like killer still, even after the update
I got into it after Freddy released, loved playing him for a while, still do

I bought this game just to play killer lol.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of my favourite horror movies ever, and I got well "in character" playing Leatherface. Same for Michael Myers.
Then I ranked up a bit and the game got like difficult.
Still enjoy killer in the competitive sense though, but nothing can match the innocence of your first few games where everyone is a potato and all you wanna do is scream & shout and let it all out.

I didn't, imagine giving up 50% of the game you bought....

I'm one of those, who came from a streamer. So that type of marketing works, I guess.
He played killer, and had a challenge to get to rank 5 as a killer in two weeks never touching spirit or nurse for 500$ bounty. He was new to the game and basically succumbed to his own salt. But I got hooked. Survivor side never appealed to me because horrors where you can't fight back don't scare me, but killer gameplay was pretty cool. Only like half a year later I started leveling up my survivors.

GF came out and man is he fun to play as. Before that I mostly played solo with the occasional potato crushing as Billy or Nurse.

For my first 1000 hours I had no friends. Now I have acquired some I play 50/50.

Myers main here, with other stealth killers as my secondaries. I just like spookin' people. Any time I get Hawkins or Gideon you better believe I'm staying in tier 1 for a while to have some fun.

I bought the game with a group of friends, however, those friends started to drop off. I don't mind solo, but it started to become annoying.
So I switched over to killer, I actually love playing killer more than I did with my friends, however, I still play survivor, just rarely every solo.
It's probably why I am a killer main that doesn't complain about SWF.
