Playstation 4 Controller/Dualshock 4 Controller Prompts on PC/Steam Version?
I started playing Dead By Daylight a while ago, and got the PC version. Usually I play with a mouse and keyboard, but sometimes the button presses simply don't work (ex prompt to unhook comes up, or I press m1 to hit and nothing happens), so I thought I would try using a game controller.
Problem is I do not own an xbox controller, and the PC version only seems to support xbox controllers, so whenever I plug in my Dualshock 4 Controller it gives me xbox prompts. I'm aware it's possible to work around this and just use A as Circle and memorize it, etc, but I would really prefer not to if there is another solution.
I know sometimes people make skins for changing the look of perks, are there anything like that or any other solution that would give Playstation button prompts instead of Xbox?
As there is a Playstation version of Dead By Daylight released I admit I'm frustrated there is no controller capability for Playstation Controllers on PC.

No, sadly there isn't anything like that.
In-game prompt button changes and other such things that associate with in-game actions cannot be changed for a LIVE match, as even the perk skin changes don't go with you in a LIVE match, since they can't.
The only thing that players are able to do is change things like portraits or perks that're associated with the lobbies, not in-game. There doesn't seem to be an option that supports PlayStation Controllers, it just associates it as an Xbox controller and treats it as such.
You'll either have to get an Xbox controller or just get used to the button mapping i'm afraid, sorry.

Thank you for answering! I didn't think there was an option but figured it was worth asking. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.
