Question for Camping Advocates
I'm not saying that camping isn't a strategy, but have a little empathy and hear me out (Do it. You won't.)
What incentive does the camped person have to not just die immediately? They earn nothing from it. And whether or not their team gets gens done while they still have to sit there and not get to play the game doesn't mean anything to them.
So yeah, why should they bother keeping themselves alive rather than just killing themselves and finding a match that they can actually play in?

The incentive is to punish the camper. Stay on the hook as long as possible, so your team has time to do gens and leave. Forcibly depipping the killer and cucking him of as many points as possible.

It's up to them. Devs keep removing things that allow killers to play nice

As you said, they get two choices. Stay there and help their team. Or die and move one while screwing their team over.
Camping (minus end game where it's really what the Killer has left to do) is one of the worst aspects of this game. Especially when it's a insta-down Killer like Bubba. People will argue strategy, but I'd argue that doesn't excuse how horrible of a experience it is. Imagine if flashlights perma blinded a Killer! It just removes someone from the match, and it really suck for that person.

idk. i think they should just die on hook so i can go back to chasing people. eff em.
youd really have to piss me off to make me camp you though.

I'd rather a camper get 2 pips and be sent to red rank hell if you ask me.

red rank hell? what makes it hell anymore? everyone and their mother is in red ranks now, so you play against potatoes and have insta queues.
1 -
Eh, red rank hell doesn't exist anymore. There's as many potatoes at red ranks as there is at brown ranks, cause it's so easy to pip as a survivor.

Honestly camping is really only used by low low rank (16-20) killers because they don’t know better. Anyone doing it on higher ranks is toxic, bad at game, or a bubba.

I'm literally at rank 2 survivor at the moment. Other red and purple rank killers are proxy camping until the cows come home. I mean, it happened before, but after the ruin nerf, it's every other game now.
Can't say I blame them, to be honest.

Last night I camped with Leatherface. I never once got less than 2 kills. Even had one or two 4ks (granted I used NOED as well).
I'm going to continue until they do something about the genrush. :)

The irony is, genrushing is the counter to camping.

Because if the other survivors respond correctly sticking it out can actually let them do what they're supposed to do when someone's camping - do gens.
And on the off chance the killer is genuinely "playing for salt" it denies them the "satisfaction" of a rage-quit suicide on hook as well I guess.

Yup, and I don't mind. It's fun seeing them try for the save and getting surprised with NOED. I'm not sad as long as I get 1k and make their life miserable.

ruin is gone, our saving grace of being nice killers is gone. BHVR nerfed ruin so now the survivors that they cater to will suffer for their actions

Camping is rarely strategic, it's emotional. Killer knows gens will get done but he also knows one survivor who will not be leaving. Obnoxious looping, inappropriate squat dancing, key ownership and any other derogatory disrespectful actions are subject to camping. It's in the killer handbook somewhere.

You can die. I wont miss you.
