Hitboxes aren't the issue, and it will never be completely fixed.

It's desync. It can improve, but will never be perfect simply due to the nature of online multiplayer games. It's a thing in every online game. You just notice this more because it's so up close, with melee hits etc.

Thought it was due to lag but now that we have dedicated servers it's not lag is it

    Dedicated servers don't stop lag.

Basically, before we were on peer 2 peer servers. Where the killer hosted. So on their screen, it looked like it hit, but on the survivors screen it looked like then were a mile away. With dedicated servers, it's very much the same, except it may not even appear to hit on the killers screen, and leave them confused on how they got that hit.

Dedicated servers by design increase the interaction latency between killer and survivor, by putting a 3rd party between them. So its the logical consequence that hits gets more questionable for survivor.

So unless the developers tell killers to go f themselves and make hit detection serverside, essentially crippling high precision killers like Huntress or Nurse, there is nothing the developers can do.

So there's no fix for it?

    I'm sorry but that's bullshit.
