How am I supposed to contend with 3 gens going off before I even get half way across the map?
Especially as a “baby” killer (who ends up facing survivors well above my level)?
I don’t feel encouraged to play killer tbh. Every game feels like the survivors know they have it in the bag, proceed to play sweaty, and ends with teabagging to the last second of egc.
It is ridiculous how chill and relax it is to play survivor, the prey, and killer feels demoralizing and stressful. I should not feel RELIEVED when a killer match is over, I SHOULD feel excited and devious to play another round of killer - but I don’t.
Seriously, it’s hard out there for a killer.

This why I refuse to play Killer. Tried Doc yesterday (first time playing Killer since the patch) on Lery's. Horrible, literally horrible. I'll stick to Survivor.

I personally hate solo survivor and would rather play killer if my friends aren't on. Sad to see you're struggling but ain't much advice I can give you you haven't heard 3 times already. I will say clench gens together, works for me mostly.

It's called corrupt intervention.

It’s called “why do I need this DLC perk unlocked, then accessed through hundreds of killer bloodwebs just to have a CHANCE at an even playing field?”
8 -
Hold on. I played 1 match with Doctor today, and potato stomped a team of red ranks without ever putting a single level into Doctor. The new Doctor is broke af 🤣 🤣🤣
3 -
Thats why i facecamp and tunnel out of hell in every Match... Devs want me to play like this? Okay then. I will have my personal fun, pissing off the survivors..

As a baby killer myself, I still find it fun. Sometimes I get them sometimes they get away.
I have a new hatred for claudette though.
2 -
Because that is what it is going to take if you want to climb the ranks, the meta perks. And honestly, you probably don't even need it until purple / red ranks anyways. That's like complaining you had to level hag to unlock the old ruin.
1 -
Slug. It can be a nasty and unfun way play, but what choice do you have?
3 -
Have you seen the Dev Q&A? They recommend allowing the furthest gens to be completed so you have to defend a smaller area.
Basically do a 3-gen strat or git gud.
3 -
Seriously? Doesn't that mean they realize how big their maps are, and how imbalanced that makes non movement based killers on them? That comes off as extremely lazy.
5 -
You don't, Past 6 matches against ranks 1 & 2's, 3 gens pop in the first few minutes. No toolboxes, just prove thyselfs.
1 -
and what do you expect from them.. with their ultra slow pacing of remaking maps it will take them years to rework ever broken map.. oh and no worry hawkins is in their eye definitely first.. you know too much killing there so it needs to be remaked as always..

Can I steal this ?

Bro, just apply pressure bro. Stop complaining, why don't you watch high level Killer streamers. You might learn something bro

If you lose three gens in the opening minute of a match, I am questioning what it is exactly that you are doing during that time.
Yes I have lost a gen, on rare occasions two, but three? I would have to have been AFK for that to happen.
1 -
Just start camping then on hook. According to everyone on the forum it's a viable strategy. Plus the salt you mine is so delicious. Not my job to make sure anyone has fun with this game
1 -
Do what all idiots survivors say of course.
Apply map pressure
And git gud
Theres no good answer. Killer is a joke right now. Face camp with bubba will get you as much kills as anything else probably. And CI is crap, doesnt slow down anything.

Killer is a stressful and difficult role, and you almost always get salt and slander in the post game chat. You have to play at absolute max efficiency all the time.
Survivor is a cake walk comparatively, not necessarily in terms of difficulty but in terms of it being a far, far less stressful role. Solo or in a group, win or lose, nothing really phases you since it's just so chill over all.
Then when people try and express these concerns about the killer role, the obnoxious voice of the community drowns them out telling them to just "git gud" and ignores the entire point being made, refuses to listen, and just passively aggressively or sometimes directly insults them. That's the community in a nutshell.
2 -
Large map with bad spawns of players and generators combined with low mobility killers. It happens alot. You see it playing killer and playing survivor.
2 -
No, just be “lucky” enough to get coordinated survivors with at least 2 toolboxes and a large map.
Edit: FlashTorpedo said it better.

I know folks that only farm as killer, because they can hit max blood points and pip literally just farming with survivors; and get more out of the game reward wise and it's far less stressful and enjoyable than genuinely trying to play.
They just gave up on the role because, sorry they are just not good enough I guess, and the community has deemed that if you are not good enough you simply are not supposed to ever try and play that role; and any problems you encounter or negative experience prior to reaching the apex of your skills needed is moot and not worth the time or care.
It's an awful mentality the community as a whole needs to grow past honestly.

I think I'm just gonna run around w detective's hunch and do totems. Sounds like a thing to do.

Works well haha but I keep breaking all but like one totem and then that being NOED. My luck is so bad.

Waiting for the devs to mention something about the NEW Killers experience..............

I have proposed a Ruin rework that can help with early game pressure while still remaining fair for both rules. Helps eliminate RNG and can be eliminated over time but not instantly like the old Ruin. I think it's pretty fair and am trying to get it noticed by the devs. Calculated the number of totems wrong but it still works.

Run NOED duud. Teams want to gen rush. Facecamp their friend with lots of hits. It counters SWFs pretty good. End game chat is usually very entertaining. Survivors get so salty when they don't get a free escape after hitting good skill checks for 3 minutes.
2 -
The devs have said that they don't expect you to be able to stop that. They believe that you should instead focus on stopping any gens that you can safely protect while only engaging in short chases with easy downs.
1 -
I know you are saying this sarcastically. But it's not completely wrong. If you can put pressure on the survivors the game swings in your favor. If not it's gg. Which is not to say that something doesn't need done to slow early game a bit. It most certainly does. But that slow down will do nothing if you can't capitalize on it.

That's a problem though. With the way maps are and how tiles spawn almost nothing will be a short chase. You have a huge amount of good, unmindgameable tiles that lead to one another, or in the case of a good amount of maps, into a large central building that is completely safe. Chases are never short enough, because survivors have so many tools to extend the chase, whereas most killers have such a small amount of tools to shorten the chase
