Why do you use self care?

Why do people heal themself with self care EVEN IF there is one or two survivors right next to him.

It just wastes so much time. This is so common in red ranks.

That is definitely not common in the red ranks, at least not anymore lol most of the red ranks I've been matched with have been using inner strength lately (including me). That perk is so much better than self-care and it counters sloppy and thanatophobia

    Blood Points I would assume.

There is a rift challenge that you needed to heal yourself with self care.

Self care in it's current state is only good if you have an early disconnect, if you're just trying to keep yourself alive for as long as possible and to try and at least safety pip (very rare circumstances). Otherwise it's more beneficial to work on generators and to get a team mate to heal you when convent.

Because if there are no slowdown perks in play, it might be a better idea, time-wise, for those other survivors to be working on generators instead. Especially if the Self-Care user is also running Botany Knowledge.

It's like having car insurance. You have it, but hope you don't need to use it. You can't always rely on potato teammates, especially without them running Empathy or Bond, or you ha ing Bond yourself.

It also combines well with med-kits to keep them around a little longer.

If then person who unhooks you has to split because the killer came back, it's also a good chance to get healed anyway.

My Running build is currently Self Care/ Botany Knowledge/ [Exhaustion]/ Decisive Strike. Good to run a killer and be self sufficient.

Inner Strength (as well as Head-On, and maybe Quick & Quiet) is countered by Iron Maiden.

Because my teammates usually run away even if the Killer is nowhere near and that gets kind of annoying, so I use Self Care ans Botany

I use Self Care and Botany quite often, because I tend to lose the killer in chases often, but I usually take at least one hit in doing so. And yes I'm that guy who points at the gen and tells a teammate to work on it while I self care in their face!

I like Inner Strength as well, but I get annoyed when everyone is using it, and all the totems get snatched up. Some just break the totems to avoid NOED, or for blood points. It's less reliable than Self Care, and usually only gives you 1 or 2 uses a game, and then in others you'll be struggling to even get 1 use out of it.

I don't use self care, at all. It's useless against one hit down killers, but there are times when I wish i did have it. I would definitely let others heal me though. I have seen people refuse it too, not sure why. Maybe they want BP for it, or maybe they don't trust others to make skill checks.

Missing healing skill checks at red ranks tells something about how easy it is to rank up :D like cmon they are so slow and easy to hit.
