Help needed for levelling up all characters with limited time
Hi all, First post here and a newbie player here
I am an adult gamer that works full time and does not have much free time for gaming, but do enjoy this game. I know the way this works it is going to take a lot of game play hours to unlock perks and level up.
What do you suggest is best for me to do to get the most enjoyment in the game, knowing that i cannot dedicate as much time as i would like to this game.
Should i just concentrate on picking one survivor and one killer and level up to at least level 20 to get the 4 perk slots free, and then pick another survivor & killer and repeat, or should i just spread the levelling up amongst all killers and survivors knowing it will take a long time to even start unlocking the first perk slots etc and getting any new perks.
I would love to able to dedicate hours on hours with this game but work and out of work activities don't give me much time and it appears this game is for those that can dedicate a lot of time to unlock all perks
Thank you

I have the same situation. Told you what I did. I started playing this game because friend encouraged me to buy it. So at first we've been playing SWF, and I started leveling up Claudette. Of course at the start, my build wasn't perfect, as I had Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Premonition, We'll Make It. All the perks I got at the moment (Self Care, Sprint Burst, DStrike and WGLF) I got from Shrine.
As a Killer. I started playing Pig because I also bought SAW DLC. It was difficult at start as I had only the Pigs perks and normal ones. But then I started leveling up the rest of the Killers and purchased perks at Shrine in the meantime.
At the moment, after a few months of game I have all the killers leveled up to 50 and Claudette leveled up to Prestige 3 Lv 50.0 -
The fastest way to level is to get the perks BBQ & Chilli from the killer Leatherface, and We're gonna live forever from the survivor David King. These give you a bloodpoint boost when you get them in the blood web, equip them and fulfill the conditions for the tokens.
Now that's just if you want to play both sides. Playing killer gets you more overall points than playing survivor, and BBQ on top of that is probably the most efficient way to get the most points with little time available. That aside there isn't much else to do but play. I do believe there is a double BP event coming up.1 -
If you have limited time, I suggest you to take it slow and enjoy the games rather than think about farming. You do NOT need perks to win, although they help. You see, you might not like the game if you do it that way.
if you take it slow, you will eventually unlock all perks, it's not a problem. Rather, I suggest you to play the survivor/killer you like the most and switch, once you sick of them. Preferably after lvl 40
If you keen on farming tools: Leatherface and David are your first choice and anything works after that0 -
What i suggest is to unlock as soon as possible Leatherface perk BBQ to gain 100% more bp, after that start using your favourite killer (I suggest Nurse). If you have time, unlock Ruin too, but is not extremely necessary.
As survivor, start with Cloudette to unlock self care, than choise your main surv..

Look for swf, start with claudette or David King. Self Care and Were gonna live forever are most important perks. live forever gives more bloodpoints for unhooking and/or healing (?) So you need to be a healer. Claudette is great because of her invisible clothes/hair. you can hide well with her and slef care gives you lots of chances to be fit for point-bringing actions.
With swf you can gain lots of bloodpoints and experience of course. first try to level all survs to lvl 40 to get all teachable perks. if you want to you can level all to 50, but no need atm. If you also play killer, level leatherface to 40 for BBQ & Chili Perk. Doctor is a good point farming machine with his shocks (an din combination with bbq gives you loads of blood points because you have the docotrs own perks too (overcharge) to control generators effective)
look out for events like the (just ended) summer event and double bloodpoint events /weekends. Just try to play a little bit more often when events happen :chuffed:
Just enjoy the game. Experince and hiding is more important then any perks btw. but they help alot of course
If a killer camps a mate, just do gens/totems etc. No need to give that camper points with unhook trys. the stolen time hurts him more. you dont need to escape all. just sacrifice 1 mate for gaining points and an easy game for the other three. Sounds hard? Its not. Its part of the game :chuffed:

I got everyone to lvl 10 (cause i want the 3 perks slot) if i have to do any dailes with them or just want to try to get the achievement for no reason whatsoever.
And basically wthat @S0ckenSchuss said

To be honest? I'd suggest just playing the game, levelling up the characters you wish to play as. Over time you naturally get better at the game if you put your mind to it and therefore you won't need to specifically level up to be good. It might be harder to play with low levelled characters with no perks but the fun can still be there. I play the game not to level up characters but to play the game and have fun. Levelling up my characters is just a side activity.

If you lvl all survivors/killer you will end up with a bunch of teachables and you dont get the perks you want first.
If you wanna play time efficient, then I suggest the following:
BBQ is your #1 priority, basically doubles the BP on killer. Then decide what killers you wanna play (2-3 to keep some variety) and lock down on a single survivor you like because of the style.
Then you need to gather the important teachables, SC, sprintburst etc. I.e. lvl meg and claudette first
As killer I suggest to start with trapper, agitation and brutal strengh are rlly good in the beginning. Then maybe buy hag DLC for ruin, most important perk if you wanna do well in low ranks

To be honest? I'd only recommend Claudette for the self heal. And then I'd suggest David, for We're Gonna Live Forever.
