Explain to me why survivors teabag at the exit gates ?

So I’m a killer main I very rarely play survivor unless I have to do a challenge even then I usually try to re-roll the challenge my question is why do survivors teabag at the exit gates when the killer gets gen rushed and run around the whole game I understand if they camped and tunnelled you or your friends but why do it if the killer played by your “rule book” as people call it.

Furthermore why fast vault spam to get the killer to come over to you so you can teabag him and if he doesn’t you abuse him in post game chat or over messages calling him a “baby killer” or “your play style is great” (sarcasm obviously), killer is already hard enough why do you need to rub it in their faces no wonder most killers nowadays will run really cheap builds like Insidious camping bubba, mori tunnelling etc and they camp and tunnel you, its because toxic survivors give the killer a hard time so what’s the point of playing fairly if you still get treated the same ?

    Kids will be kids.

It's how they get their kicks.

My guess is that at least 30% of the survivors do that. They don't only teabag at the exit gate but also make noise to draw you there. It similar when someone brings a key and they find the hatch (make noise), so they wanna show off. I totally understand your frustration.

It's one of the many reasons I don't chase to exit gates and ignore obvious loud noise spam.

Because they happen to be the sort of people that like to taunt their opponents in video games, and/or they're happy to escape.

It's really not any deeper than that. In-game actions like tbagging, hitting on the hook or whatever else are completely irrelevant to how the game plays out anyway, and unpleasant but not rule-breaking behavior post-game can be hidden if someone's can't just ignore it and move on.

EDIT: And as said in the post below, a quick little "tbag" seems like it's often used as both a greeting in general and a way of saying "Thank you".

I honestly don’t know why I do it, I just do, everyone I see does it.

My advice would be to just stand in a corner far from the gates, take off your headphones so you don't hear the spam vault and just browse YouTube or FB on your phone until End game collapse ends.

Killers like salt. Survivors prefer tea. Simple as that!

I sometimes teabag at exit gates to give the killer the down, i guess it's better to squad and point out

I do it if the killer was camping and/or tunneling

To me there are 2 types of survivors. Ones that tbag during chase. These are good Loopers usually and will tbag on other side of pallets etc. I can actually respect the balls to tbag during the chase.

Then those that tbag in the safety of the exit gates. These are the majority of survivors who are just not that good and do it when they know they're immune just to feel cool.

Herd mentality. Follow the herd. It's how these losers get their kicks.

But saying that, I will occasionally teabag as a middle finger to a chasing killer on the way out the gate if they were face-camping or tunneling me.

But I don't sit and wait, nor do I do it during the match.

About the herd mentality, so true. I find that when my SWF leaves, other survivors tend to follow suit.

Well, you know, if they're failing with their lives outside of the game, they have to celebrate where they can! :D

Really, unless the Killer has been toxic all match, there is no real reason why. But a teabag is basically just someone tapping a button - means nothing to me.

its funny how one side perceives the actions of the others

For survivors, mostly, its celebratory and has not really much to do with the killer or their feelings at all. its not teabagging, but butt dancing. They're just happy that they were able to escape the trial. They have no other way of showing happiness in the game, the point would seem even more toxic.

As a killer, it seems like their sole intent is to see your soul broken and destroyed, to make you feel like you are worthless and that you will never amount to anything as a killer.

Don't read too much into it, if you're upset, and the survivors actually wanted to upset you to the point where you write a forum post about it, then you lost twice in a row.

same reason killers smack a hooked survivor or shake their head after downing someone, they wanna rub it in.

a lot more people play both sides than this community seems to think, so ######### survivors become ######### killers become ######### survivors and everyone keeps arguing over which side is more to blame when they're one and the same, BMing is BMing. 🤷

On the other hand, if I've had a match with that particular survivor, I do have a little killer dance, especially if they were the last one remaining.

Sometimes you can almost hear "Where the hood at" as I get my murderous groove on.

  • Mooks

Some people may not do this because of BM or try to be toxic but to get some last chase points, or distract the killer from other survivors that may be still in the trial.

i also do it sometimes to give the killer a last hit, for example that hillbilly that clearly only played for the daily and I gave him one last chainsaw down that way.

as a killer I sometimes get a little mad when I try a daily and only need one last hit and they leave...

It's probably a sort of taunt. Not exactly the nicest thing to do, but still doesn't actually have any impact on the actual game unless the other player reacts like a MMORPG mob getting taunted by a tank player and throws the game because they get the "Taunted status effect".

3 crouches in exit gate area = automatic personal Blood Warden for that survivor. 😂 That would put a stop to those up/down/up antics.

Ppl teabag in every game and besides if you get ghostface you can teabag them back (pig can too but its way slower)

Grow a thicker Skin over a survivor going up and down. Spamming vaults are annoying, thay I can understand that. Really the only thing people can do here to be toxic is sending or say things in the chat.

Just as an advice, it will never come across that way. Spamming emotes or interactions already has a stigma of being meant as a taunt/gloat or the like. It is done in many if not most online pvp games with a negative intention so nobody will take it otherwise even if people say it doesn't bother them.

Btw gg is also by now in parts an empty phrase. I started to play a little more again in the last few weeks and 90% of "gg" were when all 4 escaped and I sometimes didn't even get my 4 stacks bbq (my personal goal). Never when I 4k and only sometimes in between. But tbf the amount of gg's or any kind of aftergame chat interaction dropped done to nearly zero in terms of any kind of aknowledgement or toxicity.
