How do i counter oni if im running no mither (or using the perk Lucky Break)??
My main problem with it, and how to possibly fix it
- Legit he always has a way to find me by following the red orb road?????? i feel the only way to fix this is to make it so if you have no mither you dont drop blood orbs because lore wise its right because in the definition of no mither it says "You are affected by the for the duration of the Trial. Your thick blood coagulates practically instantly." so i feel it shouldn't let you generate blood orbs.
Other perks that counter other killers
- it's kind of like how like calm spirit is a counter to the doctor because you never scream no matter what, he might know your in the general area of him if he sees he got bp for madness tier up(when he uses his static blast ability), but other than that it is a really good counter to him because you can still drop pallets and vault windows if you are using it.
- Another great counter is Iron Will against Spirits, After Spirits hit a survivor they tend to listen for grunt pains but thi is hard countered by Iron Will, now Iron Will might be a good counter for all killers but not as hard as it is for spirit.
Possible way to allow oni's to still get blood from people running no mither
- Maybe as a way to still allow No Mither not to be such a big counter to oni they could make it to where if you hit someone with No Mither then it's like hitting a health survivor, where you get blood from it. since your blood is so thick and hasn't been falling out of you even though your injured.
The oni's add-on "Renjiro's bloody glove"
- I am grateful that if the oni is using the add-on that has survivors absorb blood orbs he sees your aura for 2 seconds that i can't absorb the orbs, but that makes no sense, i feel i shouldn't generate orbs but with that add-on be able to absorb them from other survivors.
my usual survivor build
- I legit put my team at a huge disadvantage when verseing a oni for it, and dont say just dont run no mither because i like it, my usual build nowadays is No Mither, Resilience, Dead Hard, and Spine Chill. Please change this for a quality of life change for people like me who run no mither.
message for the mods
- P.S. please dont move this post to the feedback and suggestions because i am trying to have a general discussion with other people, i dont see mods moving discussions out of general if its talking about ruin changes or something similar that they dont like
conclusion
- What are everyones thoughts? should this be aloud? any other possible ways to solve this problem?

Personally I feel No Mither should leave no blood orbs.
Honestly who cares if that means that a 4 man no mither squad means the oni cant use his power? YOU ARE FACING A 4man NO MITHER SQUAD, aka 1 Basic Hit is down....

I have a great counter instead!
Use a good perk

It doesn't make sense how you leave blood orbs but not a blood trail? I'd classify this as overlooked when making Oni.
0 -
just out of interest, why do you use no mither?
I've only ever used it once and that was for the tomb challenge.

A 4 man no mither squad isn't gonna go down that easily.

i find that when i use it im more careful then i usually am, it also makes it to where i always have resilience and dead hard always active, counters slugging (which happens almost all the time at red-purple ranks), and i just like it, i mean sometimes i get tunneled because of it but thats once in a blue moon, and i find i escape alot more often when i use it just because i am more careful and cautious. it really does help me for some reason lol.

it wasnt overlooked, if it was then you would be able to absorb blood orbs, but you cant if you have no mither (with the add-on, see the section above) so they made this like that for a reason, maybe now that oni is out and not used alot they could look into this?

legit nice bait, troll.

I was trying to make a joke about how the perk is considered poor by most...
0 -
yeah but im looking for actual replies and feedback about this, not some joke. everyone has their favorite build that works for them, no mither just happens to be apart of mine.

What you says logically makes sense, BUT what if ALL surviviors had No Mither against Oni? It would mean that he can't use his power. Even if you made it so that injured people with no mither would give blood just like healthy people normally, it would still be a big disadvantage for Oni. Or maybe not really. I think it would require testing.

well this might happen once a month across the board, very few swf teams all run no mither, with the small chance that they get oni, if this were to happen he would still get blood from hitting them, maybe they could make it to where if he hits a survivor that has no mither he gets 75 percent of his gauge, i mean a swf team all running no mither is still a huge disadvantage, even with his power being "useless" (even though it can be used to traverse the map fast) what your saying makes no sense because this would never happen. i bet if you look at the percent of players that use no mither (other than for challenges or adept david) it would be between 1-3 percent if that.

I know almost no one uses No Mither, but if you added an option to bully Oni like that, maybe they would start to use it. But well, I dont know, maybe the blood on hit would suffice.

thats why i say they could test this, but like i said, the chance of you getting a full no mither team against an oni is like 1/10000000000, almost no one will play oni unless they have a challenge (future) or if they have a daily ritual.

OHHHH LOOK THEY MOVED IT AGAIN WITHOUT INFORMING ME YAY!!!!!
no wonder im getting no discussion with anyone.

Don't use No Mither, get good at looping.
These are your two options.

why should i have to change what i like to run, if the fundamentals behind the problem make my argument valid? the way it works now is stupid and needs to be changed, it makes no sense.

Why should one perk counter a Killer's entire power?
0 -
Because your choice is to either stop using the perk that cripples you far more than it helps you even against other killers or to just deal with the fact that no mither is a perk that makes you weaker and provides no substantial benefit

While I do agree that it can feel bad to drop blood orbs because you're running no mither, the perk in itself is meant to be challenging and you're pretty much asking to be at a bad disadvantage just by running it. However despite all of this, no mither provides a great advantage against Oni which is the fact that you cannot be left slugged on the ground. Now, I'll provide three reasons why I believe no mither should be allowed to keep generating blood ;
1 : Sure you might leave more blood around which gives Oni his power more often, but what makes his power strong is that it turns him into the best slugger in the game and he can't do that when you have no mither as otherwise he losses the pressure he gained from his power.
2 : Oni's power is what makes him fun to play as, and in my opinion I also find it fun to play against unless you're on an open map. The whole reason you play a specific killer is because you either enjoy their power or you have a daily and when you make a perk nullify a power, you take away from the people who enjoy that power. Now while I can see you've made a compromise where you can still gain orbs from hitting a no mither player, you would also need to ensure this doesn't cause issues with other perks like deliverance & second wind (or any other perks that apply the broken effect in the future) and when paired with dead hard (when used for distance) you'd basically just deprive the killer of their power for a very long time which ends up not being fun. This is the issue Plague has where she's good but incredibly boring because of the fact that not many good players cleanse.
3 : It's just a game at the end of the day. While the logic may not be sound where you don't bleed with no mither but still produce blood orbs, there are many other things that don't make sense but are still in the game. When you start changing things just because you try to make the game make more sense, you take away from gameplay. Let's look at a few other examples where the logic doesn't add up ;
- Leatherface & Hillbilly cut you in half with a chainsaw yet you don't die.
- You can be hooked multiple times and still run around just fine.
- Paranormal killers in general.
- Clown's addon flask of bleach doesn't cause terrible harm to survivors or himself.
There are many more examples but I believe this gets to the point.
I can definitely understand your point, however these are the reasons why I disagree with such a change.

legit calm spirit for doctor legit counters his entire power. i am suggesting No Mither to give 75 percent of the killers power if he hits them with a basic attack to make up for the blood orb loss. no mither already counters one of his ultra rare add-ons.

it does, at the ranks i play at there is a lot of slugging, i have picked myself off the ground a lot because of this, they legit either forget or don't care that i can but i do. No Mither is fun and does not put me at a disadvantage, if anything it makes me a better survivor, it only hurts bad when i verse a Oni, which only happens maybe once every two days.
0 -
maybe if i produced blood orbs at half the rate then other survivors in the injured state would be fine, this would also still make since because your blood is thicker than other survivors, but i just see how many i produce and if i say work on a gen i can give him his full power from empty to full from just doing that gen, and hiding isn't an option no matter what i do because if he sees blood orbs he knows its me, especially if i'm the only "injured" survivor.
0 -
maybe they could also add that hitting a survivor who has No Mither doesn't take any percent away from your power in blood rage mode.

Honestly I agree, I enjoy using no mither for the challenge, but being forced to screw over my teammates by constantly being injured is frustrating

I bust a nut when I bring No Mither against an Oni because a good Oni in Blood Fury is one of the few things in this game that are actually scary.
Please, keep No Mither trash against Oni. It makes him so much more intimidating to go against and I love it.
